So 24, 55, 88 and probably next year's #1 if not a little more?

Yeah, that's an overpay IMO. Thibodeaux is a talented kid but he's raw and has a decent enough bust factor to make that one scary trade.
If he falls into the teens, you arent giving up nearly that for. The implication was that they are interested in him if he falls

And again, the question asked is would you be willing to give up a 2nd round pick to trade up for him. It was clearly stated

It wont cost that much

Teams are eager to trade back in this draft, so the price to go up wont be that significant

Team hasnt won anything in 26 years, yet fans dont want to be aggressive to move up and get who may be the best defensive player in the draft.

A 2nd rounder for someone like Thibbs? Sign me up.

With trading up for me in this, you are either locking on long term LT or DE. Cross falling into the teens was something I was interested in. If that happens with Thibodeaux, Im taking the position I did with Cross. A 2nd rounder to lock in a high caliber player at such a crucial position is a trade up I am willing to make

1+2 won’t get you much higher than early teens or 10ish at the absolute best if the price is a bit cheaper than normal if most teams want to move down. I don’t think it’s likely he falls to 10. But you never know. I would do it.

We have to be around pick 8 or 9 to be able to move up to pick 4 with a 1st and 2nd. We're pick 24.

Yes. Of course you do that. But that's like asking if you'd buy a brand new Vette for 20k. Who's going to say no?
I used a 2nd pick, because they wont likely pick up the phone until he starts dropping. Whats been report doesnt lead me to believe that they are looking to move into the top 10 for him. But if he drops to around 13 or so

Ok, now you're talking. From 24 to 14 we'd have to give up picks 24, 56, and either 176 or 167 at minimum.

I do feel its a bit dubious that falls that far. I know he has been reported as a dropper, but his red flags seem like a whole lot of nothing considering what we just went through with Joseph

I agree. But Houston or Baltimore would have to agree too. What if they want him? The only way they accept an even trade to go back is if they're not really interested in anyone on the board.

Could have had Michael Brockers and Bobby Wagner if they didn't deal up for Claiborne.

And that's not cherry picking who was left, that was Jerry spilling what plan B was.

I know this may sound weird but I don't think Thibodeaux is the trade-up target. Yes I know Breer has some strong sources and he's actually one of my favorites but remember what they say about this being lying season. As stated in another thread, I think it's Kyle Hamilton, He checks all the boxes as Quinn's type of safety. His leadership and character are off the chart. According to league insiders, there's some confusion about whether he's a box or free safety. That, along with his 40 times could drop him into the mid-teens.

Yes it will. You'd have to trade this year's #1 and next year's #1 for sure. And that wouldn't be enough.

Teams want to trade down for sure but they want value. They aren't trading down for a slop return.

Ya we have won those trades too. Dez being one and Lawrence being another. The idea of trading up or down are only as good as who you are doing it for
I know what you mean, and the hindsight thing is cheap....just mentioning it. Devils advocate deal in a trade up thread.

It stings more to have known what could have been.

It'll probably take at least our 2nd plus next year's 1st to move up that far.
I have read rumors today that said he may go top three in the draft. It take a lot of draft picks to even try to get that high. It’s impossible, unless they give up multiple first and second round picks.
