Has us taking Lloyd in the first round as apparently our "biggest need" on defense is a LB. Call me silly, but the biggest hole is at DE.

https://www.espn.com/nfl/draft2022/...-making-two-trades-filling-needs-all-32-teams

1st - Lloyd, LB, Utah
2nd - Metchie, WR, Bama
3rd - Kinnard, OG, UK
4th - Bellinger, TE, SDSU
5th - Thomas, S, GT
5th - Evans, CB, Mizzou
5th - Jones, OT, Southern Utah
5th - Farrell Jr, DT, LSU
6th - McClain, DE, Auburn

Like this for sure.

Not a fan of a LB in the first when Green, Linderbaum and Wyatt are sitting there. All three would have bigger impacts IMO than Lloyd. Then in the 2nd you have a pure edge guy in Bonitto there (edge is your biggest defensive issue) and we go WR?

Kinnard in the 3rd is nice.

Wyatt off a lot of boards due to DV concerns. Probably not Jerry's though and I do like the player.

This is terrible, especially with the leak of Lloyd being off some teams draft boards because of medical issues. I really respect national draft experts like Bruglar who examine each teams, 30 visit list, needs and knowledge from local outlets to complete a mock. Realistically it would be more likely that if this fall like this the Cowboys would take:
1st Round - Johnson
2nd Round - Pierce
3rd Round - Sam Williams
4th Round - Probably a trade up to secure Otton or Ruckert (Hard to simulate)

Several teams have taken Lloyd off their boards according to Mosher.

nothing against Lloyd but going to Micah to him in the first Rd is such a stark contrast in ability that i would rather not go there.

Same with Green according to Jeremiah.
Mosher didn't think green was anything major, maybe Ron Leary type of medical or less. It will be interesting to see what the teams think who should have all the medicals.

Not bad. Im just not liking the WR until the 3rd round or lower. And this does little to return the Oline to top level. Which is our biggest problem.

I agree about the WR. But I disagree about the OL, at least in terms of our biggest need right now - LG. Kinnard is a very good prospect.

I don't love it. I am not a huge fan of Lloyd and Metchie, who I do like, is injured. Would love to get Kinnard in 3 though.

4-6 does absolutely nothing for me

Not a fan of that mock. Lloyd by numerous accounts is not on half the NFL boards due to failed physicals, Metchie probably not ready until October to play at best and he is most likely only a slot receiver with subpar speed, Kinnard is okay, doubt we take a S based on what we already have although one like Bell as a UDFA is probable, just seems like he left a lot on the table for a need you can get in the 3rd or 4th round. Seen a couple of expert mocks today having Lloyd last until late 3rd round due to failed physicals

Dallas would be better off with say Green after a trade down or two, then Quay Walker LB, Alec Pierce WR, then Sam Williams DE. Would love to see Travis Jones DT in the 2nd but doesn't seem like Dallas values the 1-tech until the 3rd day of the draft.

I don't understand what Lloyd's medical issues actually are. I'm always a bit leery of how these things seemingly leak out but can't be substantiated.

I like the Kinnard, Bellinger and Farrell picks. Lloyd and Metchie wouldn't make me throw anything but I wouldn't be thrilled by either. I doubt Kinnard is there in the 3rd but I think he's a day 1 starter at guard so that would be strong value.

The biggest problem I have here is not addressing edge at all (It says "DE" next to Zakoby McClain but he's a 5-11 LB who would be good value in the 6th as a special teams guy but he isn't lining up with his hand on the ground). I don't hate any of the picks in this mock but don't love the position sequencing.

I'm really high on Travis Jones but I think he will go higher than the media is projecting. It's such a bad DT class that I figure a team like GB or Tampa will snag him late in round 1. There's a huge drop after him if you're looking for a 1-tech. He actually lined up at 3-tech as much as 1 at uConn. He's just a really good all around interior guy and his testing numbers were great for his size.
