2 small trade downs from 24 to 28 and then 28 to 31. I’m not a huge Tyler Smith fan but I think he may be the LVE they have locked onto. Comparing him to Larry Allen is crazy but he may be the next Flozell.

1) Tyler Smith G/T
2a) Travis Jones DT
2b) Sam Williams DE
3a) Khalil Shakir WR
3b) Jeremy Ruckert TE
4) Danny Gray WR
5a) Yusuf Corker S
5b) D’Marco Jackson LB
5c) JoJo Domann LB
5d) Cade York K
6) Brock Purdy QB

This is a very good draft
The idea to trade down and spend premium picks on the lines early is the right one
I would spend one of the 4/5 picks on an OG instead of WR or Safety
This will mean our defense will be much better right off the bat. The OL will struggle a little this year but he much better by next year

Agreed, I should have taken another OL.

Don't hate it and very well could look like it depending on who is available. Not sure they will address S until after the 7th with UDFA guy. Might rather have James Houston IV instead of Jackson or Domann. Smart move for a K and the first 5 would be great.

Those first six picks are an absolute coup. Then the fifth round onward look just like Cowboys picks.

We need a kicker. Hooker is ehh at this point and behind him we have 6th rounder from last year and never saw the field. Tell me what you know about Jackson and Domann? Jackson has a good chance to be a ST freak and Domann is a very good cover LB (former S).

Not in round 5 we don’t.

Hooker is ehh at this point

The team signed him for two years.

and behind him we have 6th rounder from last year and never saw the field.

And that’s automatic disqualification? When does a player get the chance to show what they can do?

Domann’s a good player, but is he a linebacker or a safety? Jackson is a small player who lacks length and isn’t good against the run. A special teams player.

If you’re going to post mock drafts every day, be mature enough to handle people disagreeing with them. Otherwise feel free to keep them to yourself.

We’re one snap away from Icky starting at FS. That’s a problem.

Our kicker lost 2-3 games for us. I’d give up a 5 for that in a heartbeat.

Trust me, I’m striving to be as mature as you someday.

If you’re gonna critique someone’s mock draft be mature enough to handle people critiquing your critique.

Why? Why is it automatically “a problem”?

You would. Few others would.

Trust me, I’m striving to be as mature as you someday.

Clearly you need more work.

Tone down the butthurt then when you read things you don’t like. No need for you to bring your claws out.

Yeh, i would only considered using a late round pick on a collegiate FG kicker who we felt is so very exceptional that there would be too much of a bidding war as an undrafted rookie, per signing bonus, - plus some team is gonna use their own late round to nab him so why not take a chance.

i would think 5th and 6th rd types seem more suited for special teams, developmental projects, strictly backups, or in some cases, high risk (medical/character) guys
But again, we would have to be so highly convince this rookie FG will be so exceptional... otherwise i cannot name even a few heralded FG kickers in NFL that were
so fire coming out of college.

Otherwise even the better, more noted FG kickers in the NFL (ala Justin Tucker -Ravens) end up being undrafted or very late rounds ala 6th or 7th rounders.

That’s exactly my thinking. I haven’t seen anything that shows Cade York to be an exceptional kicking talent.
