we skipped a lot of great defensive players:facepalm:

There will be plenty there in the second. We have a number of edge rushers sitting right there fore us.

1. johnson
2. Edge your choices Karlaftis, ojabe, mafe, Bonnitto, Williams
3. Jelani Woods
4. WR (slot route runner) or CB
5. CB, WR, LB, RB, D-Line

blah blah blah..all the crying has begun before player plays his first snap..ironic Parsons to many was a mistake a reach ..guess what he wasn't..

no-one truly knows anything about Tyler Smith so they cry..he could end up starting at LG be serviceable and eventually be a tackle. Can he come in before judgement?? i doubt its reach they had other options and had need al, over the team there reason they took him over that was left..

you all are horrible to be around this year..glad i stopped in for 5 mins now moving back to better area of life..NOT HERE
Should be improved over last season.

Steele outplayed Collins and Smith is hopefully better than Martin
I don't think Smith will be better than Martin, but I hope I'm wrong

Man. These defensive players are awesome.. DT's -Defensive ends- and linebackers were blue chippers. Jerry goes with a O-Lineman with a 2nd round grade:facepalm:

You drafted Josh Ball last year. He is much more likely to take a T position in 2022 & beyond than Tyler IMO.
Dude may become a stud .... but geez it seems like a huge reach for a guy with so many obvious flaws. High picks should be about minimizing risks.
Smith is our starting guard day 1 and will be moved outside in the future. Ball had to redshirt cause he lacked the strength, Smith might be the strongest lineman we have now

I don't know if he will be any good or not but seems clear we cannot count on Smith to play a whole season. He kind of reminds me of Erik Williams but time will tell. If were were going OL I would have preferred the center out of Iowa.

That said it seems unfortunate to pass on Johnson. He would have made an already good pass rush extremely good. Taken the D to a different level.

Now that I've cooled off a bit and started reading more about Smith, the better I feel about the pick.

Seems he tested out as a better athlete and moves better than the talking heads in the media initially reported. He can be a mauler at LG that Connor McGovern will never be.

I don't hate this pick, I hate who they left out there. Smith as a guard won't be a bad thing at all but leaving Jermaine Johnson, Tyler Linderbaum, Nakobe Dean, and Devin Lloyd out there is a head scratcher.

I don't think Tyler Smith would be there at 56 but he's not a value at 24. Just....weird.

So, why not trade down and try to get at least another 3rd round pick and still get Smith?
