His penalties are due to mistakes made in space. Playing guard should allow him to be mauler.

LVE is not good. And CD is ok, with too many drops. Just saying we aren't hitting home runs every year.

Yes LVE fell off after injuries....You cant predict that. CeeDee does have to many drops but hes good. Every 1st rounder is not going to be a homerun.

His penalties are due to mistakes playing in space -- moving him to guard will mitigate that a lot. Connor Williams had penalties at guard because he got overpowered too often. Smith shouldn't have that issue.

Now that I've cooled off a bit and started reading more about Smith, the better I feel about the pick.

Seems he tested out as a better athlete and moves better than the talking heads in the media initially reported. He can be a mauler at LG that Connor McGovern will never be.
