I cringe every time I see another WR move. There were two more tonight with AJ and Hollywood Brown both being traded for first rounders. Add that to all the others this off season, and the crazy free agent money they are getting as well, and it just keeps running the knife deeper and deeper. Jerry and SJ basically gave Cooper away for nothing. Other GMs would be fired for this mistake alone.

lol and? Cooper is 27 and is more durable. Anyone trying to justify the compensation the cowboys got in that trade is… interesting
Yeah I honestly don’t know what happened because no one seemed to be beating down their door to get him and the Browns just took him.

Jerry jones has been getting fleeced in trades since 2000. No one and I mean no one seems to throw them a bone or really work with the Jones family like they did back in the 90s. I can see why free agents have Stephen

The Cowboys let it be known that they were cutting bait with Coop, and severely hurt his trade stock. But speaking from a talent perspective, Cooper is right there with Brown. There’s no reason the Cowboys should have gotten anything less than a 3rd if they had played their cards right.

CeeDee may be priced right out of Dallas when its his turn. Of course Jerry will announce his intentions way ahead of time.

For as stingy as Stephen is with the cap money, you’d think he’d be much smarter and efficient in the trades he executes. I can’t think of a single trade in the last 20 years that the Cowboys objectively came out ahead, in the long run

Yeah but there were rumblings about Brown being traded too just last week. Teams just weren’t as interested or desperate to get Cooper.

Cowboys traded a sixth for Terry Glenn back whenever, but yea its the only one I can remember so far. It was hard to think of that one.

I guess you can also add them trading back and drafting Micah. I’m sure there were some other draft trades that happened. I’m done thinking about it. My head hurts.

The situation of the contract is also a big point. AJ Brown just signed his. Howie can move all the money into later years and have him play for pennies right now. Whereas with Coop, he was getting into the bigger years of his deal, Cleveland had to restructure him the moment they traded for him. This means they're now locked into him for good or for bad til the end of that deal. That may have been a concern
