Thing is I believe Gregory was protected to be a top 10-15 pick...Williams not so much.

Williams is still a small consolation after yesterday's Jermaine miss. Hope they continue to go heavy on the lines tomorrow in the 3rd and 4th rounds.

Why would Cowboys opponents ever want to pass? All they have to do is run by, run through, and run over this Cowboys defense. And now they have Sam Williams? He is terrible against the run and can be bullied on running plays.
So far in this draft the Cowboys are batting a thousand for players that have been suspended in college. This time it wasn't for participating in a brawl on the field like Smith. This one only had to do with sexual assault. Eventually the woman decided to drop the charges. Maybe he was innocent. Maybe he only used poor judgment to get into those circumstances.
This draft so far is suspect. Yeah, the Cowboys need to be tougher, but on the field during plays.

I read that Tyler Smith is a mauler, and he's good at blocking for the run, but I also read that there's no penalty he doesn't like to commit. We just got rid of one walking talking holding machine in Williams, and we just drafted another one in Smith.
Then like you said, as a team that's already weak against the run, we drafted a DE that's weak against the run.
I hope the scouting reports in question are wrong, but on the surface it would seem we're doubling down on all our weaknesses in this draft.

I am incredulous nakobe Dean is still on the board. He was the best player on what was probably the most talented defense college as ever seen. This is crazy. If we drafted him, he would instantly become one of our top defensive players.

Lol. Not at all. But I know the offense is taking a step back so personally I take the blue chipper in Jermaine Johnson and then take Travis Jones. And shore up guard in the third. But hey. What do I know. Those same scouts you’re praising took taco over watt.
