Until I see how his replacement plays, I'll hold off on being happy that he's gone.

I'm always hesitant about giving non HOF players big extensions at 30 years old. I hate to see players on the decline taking up cap space. For better or worse, I'd rather have a 23 year old on a rookie deal take his place. I think if Sam is worth his salt, he can match Gregory. If not this year, the next.

After getting Williams, I'm totally fine now with him leaving.

We didn't have to pay him all that money, get a 2023 comp pick (hopefully a 4th) in exchange and found a replacement with more upside.

Good riddance Gregory.
Williams is bigger and faster than Gregory. Randy ran 4.61 at about 249. Williams walks in at 261. It took Randy multiple suspended, weed and nearly a decade I. The league to get to 260.

Don't have a problem with this. Some just seem to count on draft picks to succeed, which we should know just isn't the case. I hope Williams can match and even be much better than what we got from Gregory, but there's no reason to jump the gun and expect it.

It would be amusing if he fails a test or two and Denver overlooked that possibility.

His demeanor towards the organization since signing in Denver has served to make me happy he is gone. He has zero loyalty, I have to question how much a guy like that cares about winning. He doesn't strike me as the type that would bleed for his team. I gave him way too much benefit of the doubt before.

Bet Gregory has around 20 sacks in two years.

Possibly. But he hasn't shown the consistency to date to crack double digits in a season. Looks like an All-Pro for two weeks, then silent for a month. Maybe he finally puts it all together in Denver. The physical talent is there to produce more. That's what got him paid.

Our guy is faster than Gregory, if you can believe that.

Fowler was enough for me the guys better but this is a good add for depth etc,.,having Tank, Fowler, Armstrong and Parsons wasn't a bad rotation, add in Gholston etc i wasn't worried even before Sam

With Fowler and now Williams, we just got better, overall.

I'll take those two guys over Gregory any day.

I wanted to resign Gregory. But in the end he choose Denver. Now we got a younger cheaper player…who hopefully will not be suspended every year. Lol.

Gregory was very replaceable and was highly overrated by fans.

Williams may or may not be anything special himself. That's yet to be seen.

As long as he contributes and stays on the field he's already an upgrade as far as I'm concerned.

I love the fans who, despite decades of incompetence and stupidity, still take the Jones boys side and think Gregory is the bad guy here. Lmao
