Linderbaum. Travis Jones. And the linebacker dean out of Georgia. Cowboys should have nabbed either Travis Jones or dean in the 2nd.
Linderbaum would have been an immediate day one starter to solidify the middle of the line.
The ravens are one of the very best at acquiring talent through the draft. It's no surprise they nabbed two of the guys that fell in the cowboys lap.
I think Dallas pre determines who they are going to draft and if a better prospect falls they ignore them completely. They talk themselves into a player and won't budge if the circumstances change.
Can you believe the draft the Ravens had?
Incredible, on paper at least.
I know they traded a productive (but unhappy) WR to get the 2nd First rounder, but man.
Several talent evaluators had Hamilton at the very top of the draft, then to get Linderbaum as well, who was top 10 in many evals.
They nabbed Ojabi in the 2nd, and Jones in the 3rd. (A few evaluations had them both as late first rounders).
They had 4 4ths, one of whome was near 400LB T Daniel Faalele. Another was a really big, TE, who can block and catch, Charlie Kolar, both of whom were on my radar for the Boys.
I'm happy with our draft given our needs. If I was GM and had a do over, I would have kept Cooper and Gregory. Both are really good players at key positions, and keeping them would have solidified those positions to the point that we were set, pre draft. I also would have signed Wagner.
I would have then taken:
1. Linderbaum
2. Jones
3. Ryann
4. Ferguson (or Kolar)
5. Kinnard
I just think trenches were our obvious weakness last year, so my investment would have gone there.
A starting C and LG, swing T, TE who will play and a stud DT.
