From dc.com:
  • The Cowboys were using Tony Pollard actively in this practice, and at times with Ezekiel Elliott in the "20" personnel.
Of course, we were apparently down a bunch of receivers at Wednesday's practice, but maybe they actually understand that they need to get him on the field, even when Elliott is out there.

He's a play maker
Find creative ways to get him the ball.

It’s a joke. We’re down some wideouts so he’s probably filling in.

Well, even if he is just filling in, maybe the coaching staff will see that putting both backs out there puts more stress on defenses.

I have been wanting them to use 20 personnel since they drafted Pollard.

Everyone know that you cannot play 20 personnel because the rules limit each side to eleven players, not twenty.

This coordinator is garbage regardless of what stats may say

the only reason he’s being shown out at WR is because of numbers of healthy receivers atm.

once the season begins it will be Elliott for 1 in the middle. Then Elliott for 2 then Prescott for an in completion or for a 6 yard gain to Schultz

then Elliott on 4th and 1 for no gain

wait that’s pretty negative especially with Elliott being in great shape and having his burst back. My bad

OXNARD, California – Cowboys running back Tony Pollard says he has reported to training camp in Oxnard at 210 pounds, but expects to be 215 pounds before too long.

That might be harder than he thinks.

Cowboys offensive coordinator Kellen Moore is planning on using Pollard more as a receiver this season, either out of the backfield on in the slot to give defenses different looks in 2021.

From last year. I'll say it again. Nobody should care what that trash dude kellen Moore has to say.

They use 20 Personnel all the time, just not with Pollard. Zeke, a tight end and three receivers is 20 Personnel.

No, a RB, TE and 3 WRs is 21 personnel.

We did the same last year in TC....never used it much during the season.

I think the main difference is that last year we thought we had one of the top receiving corps in the game with Cooper, Lamb and Gallup, so the plan was to have them out there as much as possible. Of course, that got scrapped when Gallup got hurt, but instead of regrouping and getting Pollard out there more, we only seemed capable of straight replacing Gallup with Wilson.

That does make me hesitant, though, to believe we're capable of using Pollard in a variety of ways on the field the same time as Elliott. However, I'm hopeful. I think if he can be effective out of the slot as a receiver, it will stress the defense since coaches know he's a threat as a runner.

They were using him more last year after the first game till he started having foot issues
Had he stayed healthy him and Zeke would have had about the same touches

He’ll be used the same way we’ve been using him.
