There are no mistakes in May...gezz stop being so negative. ; )
Hard to be positive when our Oline continues to struggle year after year. The Offense goes according to how the Oline goes.

As for McGovern, he struggles at Left Guard against bullrushes. What makes anyone think he would do better at Center where you definitely have to be a bull anchor against any bullrushes?

Just watch, Dak haters will blame Fehoko's drops on Dak by saying how Dak probably threw those passes too high.

I don't know what happens first these days, that someone does what you said, or that someone points out that someone will do what you said (like you just did) therefore egging it on to happen.

In this case it would be the latter sadly. Its probably 50/50 for the self-fulfilling prophecy anymore.

Just pointing out that both sides of this tired argument are annoyingly predictable in almost every thread anymore.

It does seem logical not to overwhelm a very raw rookie though. I was kind of hoping they would plug him in at guard and give him at least a season before all the position flex nonsense started.
The thing is though the chances of Tyron getting hurt or not playing in a game this year is very strong. Gotta find out who’s your best LT to fill in.

I think it's fine to do this in OTAs but when camp rolls around, just get him reps at LG. Other than Parsons, when we yo-yo guys trying to cross train them for multiple positions, it seems to hurt them. We wasted prime Byron Jones years while Marinelli tried to make him a FS.

Let Smith get settled in as a LG and get up to NFL speed and then start worrying about cross training him at LT. IMO.

I agree, but damn I hope they have another fall back option. I just don't want to throw too much at the kid. This is where Josh Ball should be stepping up....

I hear you brother. It gets tiring coming in here and so many constantly bashing our QB and being everything on him, all while praising other teams' QBs. They don't have the decency to simply follow another team or try to be a bit more supportive.

Well, without video evidence, can you really say he didn't throw those passes too high?

It might be the team's preference that either Ball or Waletcko ends up as the swing tackle, but the team might ultimately feel more comfortable with Smith going to left tackle and McGovern to LG if Tyron goes out. I mean, neither Ball nor Waletcko has any playing experience, so putting them out there with Tyler would mean we'd have an inexperienced left side. They're going to have to show that they are the best option for the coaches to put their trust in that. Even Farniok has more pro playing time than either of the backup tackles.

Dak hits his targets on the mark way more than he throws a high pass. It's not right to assume he threw both dropped passes high without video evidence, no matter that's he's thrown some high passes in the past.
