With it being the off-season, I thought it would be fun to give everyone a chance to share and own on of their mistakes in thinking a player was not going to be very good but they turned out to be great.

I will start it off with .. Derrick Henry

When he entered the draft out of Alabama I thought he was an average running back that was only drafted high because he played for Alabama.

Henry has turned out to be faster and stronger than I thought he was going to be and makes a huge impact on the outcome of games.

I could create quite a list just myself.

I'll go with Jalen Ramsey. Thought he was overrated coming out of the draft and of Zeke/Bosa/Ramsey from that 2016 class Ramsey was last on my wish list for the #4 pick.

Probably the biggest surprise for me was Donovan McNabb.. Dude was essentially a wishbone QB in college and turned into a multi-time pro bowler and leader of a perennial division winner. I absolutely did not see that coming.

Peyton Manning.

Thought he was at his ceiling already because of his pedigree and polish and that he'd end up ordinary (as in solid starter but no more than that) at the next level.

I think the player who was much better than I expected was Joseph Randle.

As a 6th round pick, and just from a plain running standpoint, and not all the off-the-field stuff, he really blew my mind when I finally noticing his physical potential. I really wanted him to start. Over Murray, who I had always liked. Not sure what it was, all and all, but that guy really blew a shot at having a special NFL career.

Tony Romo.........didn't think much of him after the first 3-4 seasons. But looking back, I honestly believe he would have a super Bowl with another coach not named Garrett.
It took you 4 years to realize romo was something? Lololol. I mean that’s beyond embarrassing

edit*** hopefully not 4 years of starting..that’s the way I took your post
