Twitter: LB Devante Bond out for the year

Cash is king... unless you don't have any

with the rampant inflation , cash’s purchase power is diminishing fast . Looks like nothing is sacred.
anyway this should be off topic discussion. LOL

You're correct on all accounts. Although I own my company, I still just work for a paycheck:)

Years from now, he'll be sitting in a bar telling anyone who will listen that he could have been a star if it wasn't for that injury.

I'm sure he's cruelly disappointed and I hope he finds a way to turn his misfortune into a positive. Even for the top players in the country, sports fame is elusive. However, the game teaches a lot of great principles that can be used in all facets of our lives. His future blessing are elsewhere, may he find them and not be that guy I described in my first sentence.

Feel bad for Bond but he wasn't making the team anyway. The Cowboys will have to pick up another LB now for camp purposes, that's all this means.

I hope the best for Bond and hopefully he comes back in 2023.

Come on down Anthony Barr.
We have the money .....

By we, do you mean the fans? Because the Joneses might have it, but they ain't spending it, at least not on costly outside FAs.

Right. I think the linebackers are Parsons, LVE, Cox, Harper and Gifford. I believe we'll keep five to go long at a position with better depth, knowing that we'll have Clark to add after PUP. Maybe a rookie UDFA like Hansford or Storey Jackson can force us to keep a sixth, but I think the 16-man practice squad is a more likely destination for them, which it would have also been at best for Bond.

Sucks for a journeyman guy like him - the kind of thing that might spell the end of his chances.
My thoughts exactly. Practice squad guys can’t be injured too much before getting released. Sucks.

Probably wishful thinking, I know. But just seems like the longer he's not picked up by anyone else, his price for a 1-2 year deal would work. God knows they haven't done anything else all off season. Player acquisition is 24/ 7 my *** !

Dude was drafted as a ST guy he was likely to be a PS or IR stash anyway. Hope he recovers but this has absolutely zero impact on our upcoming gameday rosters except maybe the chance he would contribute on ST.
Lad, heal well and come back for a look!

Oh, they mean what they say about player acquisition, but they just don't acquisition any player who costs more than a couple of million. If we need to add a linebacker before the season, it will be some player we grabbed off waivers or the trash heap.
