“Well, I like the mayor,” Jones told Calvin Watkins. “I like him personally, but he doesn’t have the depth. He doesn’t have the knowledge that others have regarding how unique Dallas is and how we enjoy the interest in the Cowboys. He wouldn’t want to water that down as it relates to Dallas if he knew as much, and has spent as much time in sports as I have.”

Imagine how PO'd Jerry would be if he had to share media time with another franchise. He wouldn't be able to handle not having the media attention all to himself.

Dallas has had 2 professional football teams before.

It’s not that much of a stretch especially considering the DFW metro area is soon to become the 3rd largest in US only behind NY and LA who both have 2 NFL franchises.

He’s on his last legs. The clock is ticking.

Of course he doesn’t. Who really gives a crap what the most hated sports personality in DFW area thinks or wants.
Is he really treated that way locally?

I thought everyone was just so nice down that way y'all just let him slide for 30 years of our lives on his ego trip.

Dallas Texans!
It wouldn’t even need to use the name Dallas. It could North Texas or Ft Worth.

Im not sure everyone realizes only NY and LA are soon to be the only metro areas bigger. The money and numbers are certainly here for the support.

I mean I question the mayor if he really thinks it's even possible with Jerry Jones and the Cowboys.

Mayor just wants some money under the table so he can sell taxpayers money to fund another stadium.

Hey Jerry....

If you had your Cowboys up to scratch you'd never hear a PEEP about a DFW expansion team.

But you're the best man for the job. We know.

Never let it go.

No, that’s just what you see in the media. Pick up a local paper or tune into radio and he’s bashed constantly.

It’s a love/ hate relationship . The Cowboys remain the most popular and loved team while our owner is most hated. And we have some other owners who are hated as well like Cuban .

I’m not sure where you have any evidence of money under the table ? He’s openly said of a desire to build a new stadium for a future team in South Dallas area suburbs or North Texas suburbs which doesn’t necessarily mean in city of Dallas which wouldn’t be in his jurisdiction,

Hmmm.....the problem is, a person with his ailment just loves being talked about. Positive or negative is a non factor.
