Some may see this as arrogant but I have zero problems with it. For example, many may not know or remember but early in his career Emmitt Smith often mention his personal goal was breaking Walter Payton's record. Just me, but this wants to best player on the field........can't argue with that.

Micah Parsons eyeing NFL sacks record

Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons had one of the best rookie seasons in history for a defensive player. He won defensive rookie of the year unanimously, made All-Pro and finished second in defensive player of the year voting after 13 sacks, 20 tackles for loss and 30 quarterback hits in 16 starts.

COVID-19 in Week 18 prevented Parsons from getting a chance to break the rookie sacks record of 14.5 set by Titans edge rusher Jevon Kearse in 1999.

While he has a long way to go, few can doubt his potential. He will be the best defender in football this year. Aim for the sky.

Not just early in his career, Emmitt told Irvin that before he even played a down of pro ball. Little did anyone know that he would be the most endurance tested RB of all time. To have played that long, that many carries over the years was a remarkable feat. Emmitt also did not share that with the fans, Irvin did.

I would rather have him help this D shut down the run. I think he should recall he had himself matched up with the playmakers from the other teams and he failed to contain Samuel in the playoff game. He should have remembered Belichick's advice "just do your job".

I am already getting tired of his talking. He should let others sing his praises and he should know that if he doesn't have help on that D, every OC can negate a one player D.

He had a great year but when the chips were down in the only playoff game, he wasn't even the best LB on the field.

It's cool now. After week 1 it'll either be cool still or a large percent of the fanbase will tell him to shut up.

And 169 yards rushing for San fran

Yup.

I love the confidence from him, but show me, don't tell me.

I love that fact that he wants to be great....but, I wish he flew a bit under the radar.....teams have a year of film on him and can gameplan accordingly....especially, if he keeps talking. I like the swagger, but tone it down a bit. Just my opinion, don't attack me, I'm a bit ornery this morning..looking for a lost calf.

He will be 1/2 sack short, sack the QB, but the NFL will dictate the refs call a bogus roughing the passer call. BOOK IT!

Or if he does get it...
Then the usuals on here will say...but it took 17 games....

Just me, but again I don't see a problem with it...... the same swagger from Emmitt, Michael, Deion, and Halley. Some I think is just part of his personality.......

I have no problem with swagger, he has that and doesn't have to flaunt it. When you flaunt it, you're looking for endorsements.....I guess I can understand that.
