Romo botched snap sucked, but at the time I knew that team wasn't going anywhere. It sucked more after aging and becoming his legacy.

The Crayton sun in his eyes drop, one and done playoff loss to the Giants was enormously painful. We should've gone all the way.

The playoff blowout vs Vikings was rough. I was working at an HFD station, made about 20 calls that shift, and in between watched us get trounced while simultaneously listening to the Houston faithful run their mouths. It was the worst shift.

Dez "drop" also sucked, but I sure as hell didn't trust the defense to hold them.

Speaking of holding the Aaron Rodgers 3rd down conversion still makes me irate. Irving was being clotheslined directly in front of the ref, and NO CALL.

My first game in 1983 where I was forced to be a Cowboys fan for life. Worst day for sure. :D;)

How about as a coach? Can you honestly say the same?

Yes I can! My job is to teach young men the game of Basketball. Now I'll admit that coaching 11 year olds is not as demanding as other ages (thus why I choose 11 year olds)

but to teach a young man that theres is more important things in life than winning a game, such as teamwork, being on the same page and yes that everyone on YOUR teaM HAS VALUE.

It's rewarding as hell when a grown man comes back and says Thank you

BTW We won a Championship (Extra Added Bonus)

So I have to like the ignominious dismissal of a Hall of Fame coach and very good man as the result of the team being purchased by the illegitimate son of Jed Clampett?

Then have that same new-money redneck and wannabe coach stomp his foot because nobody liked him, and fire the guy who actually molded the team into champions because he was jealous.

Only to bring his equally rednecked, used-car salesman, undisclipined buddy come in and estrange the franchise quarterback with his lax approach to running a football team.

Then run then entire franchise into the ground for the next 20+ years because he's living off his past glory and gets distracted by bright shiny objects (i.e. wide receivers and other washed up free agents).

Jerry slaps a new coat of paint on it every couple of years and convinces his customers and himself that next year will be just like it was a quarter of a century ago.

If it weren't for Jimmy Johnson and Mike Lynn, Cowboy fans wouldn't have celebrated a championship in almost 50 years.

If it wasn’t for Jimmy Johnson and the moves he made the Cowboys wouldn’t have celebrated another championship. The Cowboys would be stuck with two Super Bowl wins from the 70s. The game had passed Tom Landry by and he and his regime had to go. Had Jerry not taken over and fired him there would’ve been no Jimmy Johnson and three Super Bowl wins in the 90s. Some of you continue to live in the moment with Jerry. The greatest teams in Cowboys history were under his ownership. The 92 Cowboys are ranked as one of the top 10 greatest teams of all time. That team and the other two great 90s teams never happen under Tom Landry. Great coach and human being but he was stuck in the past.

I hated the Parcells era. One of the worst for me as a Cowboy. Parcells was completely washed up, his offense and scheming was outdated.

His affinity for bus driver QB's gave us no chance with Parcells as coach. 3 yards and a cloud of dust. Pathetic.

I was happy as a clam when he announced he was leaving.
Really? Because the Titans' and San Fran's bus drivers did pretty good last year. Proving Parcells schemes still work in today's NFL.

Q.Carter was the worst and had to go. But Parcells brought us both Romo and Witten. So something good did come from his era. If he would have stayed on for another three years, I truly believe we would have won a SB.

He didn’t fire Jimmy and if he didn’t fire Landry Jimmy would’ve never had the opportunity to mold the team into what it became. Landry admitted in an interview he wouldn’t have traded Herschel Walker. That proves the Cowboys would have gone nowhere had Landry remained HC.

Too bad he was replaced by the Cupcake.....(and Garrett).

The 94-95 NFC Championship loss was pretty bad too. Gave up three early scores on turnovers on a terrible field, then let Young hit Rice deep right before the half. We actually won the second half of that game despite the Deion no call. Barry's 15 yard penalty for coming onto the field didn't help. Lost that game by 10 points. We also missed an early FG on that terrible field. Had to watch that game with a bloody 9ers fan.

Plenty already mentioned. I will add:

Detroit coming back from 24 points down to beat Dallas in a game where we dominated early. Humiliation was complete with 1st round bust Bobby Carpenter getting a pick six on Romo.

One more for my list I just thought about. Barry's last year. That one game when all the players got on knee and held hands as they attempted the FG to win. How far we had fallen. Just looking for leadership and direction. Last of the players clinging on for strength. Jerry and Barry, you messed up such a great situation!

We won that game to go to 6-5 on the season, looking like we had a chance for the division, only to proceed to lose out. :(
