All this means is eagles may be more confident and hopeful. Someone said they have easy games at the beginning, so who knows?
I think hurts could hold them back, so do they have the you know what to bench him????

  • giants got new HC AND GOT RID OF GARRETT ! so they will be better this season.
  • Cowboys should be good or maybe better, have to wait and see on all of them.
  • Ready for the PS games!.....which one will be the main one where starters play???? I am guessing the 2nd game

What am I missing about their linebackers? Because I'd currently make Micah Parsons over their whole linebacker group....but maybe I'm biased? Maybe you think more highly of Hasaan Reddick than I do....
Your right, let's disregard Reddick's 231/2 sacks (last 2 years), Kyzir White's 144 tackles last year, and some rookie named Nakobe Dean. BTW, all 3 are new additions this year.

Ok I guess it depends on how you feel about Slay....he's always been overrated to me. Same goes for Bradberry....both overrated corners who's names are far greater than their play on the field. I just can't get overly excited for a corner who the Giants decided to release at 28.

This offseason is eerily similar to the whole "Dream Team" debacle....and its fitting a player today called them a "All Star" team lol.

That's what I think too. I think it's more hype than anything else. I'm not so sure their DBs are better than ours. We still don't know if Joseph will beat out Brown. And I don't think their LBs are better. DLine? Let me see how Williams plays. Our only issue is run stopping. We don't know if our young interior lineman might progress.

I will give the Eagles credit for actually trying to improve their team. I just think the level of improvement is over hyped. If they have success, it's coming in the form of the ground game using Hurts to supplement the attack. Not through the air.

How is Dak better then Hurts? . . . asking for a friend

Seem like carbon copies to me . . . except Hurts is younger and cheaper

Compare their first 2 seasons of production, then you'll have your answer. I can't believe you really said that Dak and Hurts are on the same level. Thats hilarious. Just when I thought ive seen it all....

We have to get the eyes of millions of people checked, because for some strange reason, they all have Dak ranked much higher than Hurts.

Their LBs are actually pretty good now. The completely revamped their LB corps with Reddick, White and adding Dean in the draft. Parsons is clearly the best LB of the entire group but LVE is kind of just a JAG at this point and Cox is a completely unknown like Dean.

So now we think tackles determine how good of a linebacker you are? You want to go see Jaylon Smith's total tackles while he started here lol?

I can buy Reddick being solid at getting to the quarterback. Never denied that. But boosting up Nakobe Dean is like boosting up Jabril Cox except Cox at least played a snap in the NFL. Yeah just not buying it. Have seen this story time and time again. I'm a little shocked Cowboys fans take the bait every time but they do. Every year the Eagles have a good offseason they fail lol. The one year nobody expected anything they won a SB with Nick Foles lol.

while theres for sure a gap, Daks better, its not that big LOL
As a quarterback? He for sure is. Now if you want to factor in his running ability then I'd say if Dak is a 6.5 then Hurts may be a 4 or a 4.5...but strictly throwing the football? Hurts is probably one of the worst throwers I've seen in this league. I can't speak on what he was like in college. I didn't watch him. But in the NFL and the games I've seen he can't throw the football. Some of the worst throws I saw last season came from Hurts.

Which is why my mind is kind of boggled they invested so much at receiver. Those receivers won't improve his throwing ability. Maybe they are for the next guy. But the Eagles need to be running something similar to what the Ravens run with Andrews and Lamar. Hurts should not be asked to win games with his arm.

I agree. I give them props on their offseason. A very solid offseason.

But this is my NFL opinion...not my Cowboys fandom opinion. I believe the Cowboys were 3 TD's better than the Eagles last year. Based on the offseason they've had? I think all they did was take a TD off of that total. I still believe the Cowboys are 2 TD's better than them. They improved a lot of units on their team but I still don't see any game changers in the secondary. They added Bradberry not Revis in his prime. They added Reddick and White...not Patrick Willis and Navarro Bowman.
And Eagles have every right to feel the opposite. I'd expect them to believe they're the best team in the NFC East. On paper the gap isn't too big. But the problem they'd be having and maybe even some here have is that Dak is lightyears better than Jalen Hurts. HE just is. And that was the key mission for them this offseason. In order to be the beast in the division they needed to get better at QB and didn't.

so why keep the stat lmao you all crack me up STATS matter.

its how players are judged, records matter, its how teams are judged etc etc etc

JS was PB player one year and while he wasn't great and had some issues some had to do with Marinelli, Nolan and Quinn transitions, and not great DL in front of him etc etc not making excuses but leas ed stop acting like tackles for defenders dont matter especially LBs

that like the fools here that say RQuinn wasnt special all he did was rack up sacks but not play the run well..umm ok DE main job, get sacks!

you can nit/cherry pick all you want but stats matter and JS while not great, not worth his new deal had some moment's and his tackles arent air..haivng to tackle downfield all the time wasn't all our Lbs faults, had a lot to do with schemes and the DL not keeping big guys off the lbs so they can go after the ball...I saw LVE and even the great LEE have the same issues

now with rookies, They have no stats in the NFL yest so that not even a debate yet.. bunch oif names is all they are until they prove themselves.

this is the new nfl many players like Lamar, fields, and hurts are very similar like Vick/Kap arent pretty passers but they are qbs period, so the run stats are part of their game and a threat to make plays. Thats all im saying and no Tebow was worse IMO, maybe the same LOL, but he also took a Denver team to the playoffs, didnt he win a playoff game that year..

not like Tyrod is much better the new payers say like Love and Lance i mean is the new GM flavors of the month when they are picking qbs they sure are enamored with the running backs with an arm.

Y'all pick and chose when y'all want to use the "stats matter" argument. They tell a story but they don't tell the whole story.

When it comes to Jaylon...we know the story on him. He had one great year and one so so year. But we saw with our own eyes how he racked up tackles after the play was already made or after the 1st down was obtained. Tackle totals just don't tell the whole story.

Look at the two leading tackles leaders.....is it any coincidence that both are linebackers who played in piss poor defenses? Two of the top 10 tackle leaders played on defenses that were bad or below average and didn't make the playoffs.

Tebow is worse than Hurts I'm just speaking on what I saw last season and I Didn't see many quarterbacks throwing the football as bad as Hurts. Not even Lamar. Hurts is worse than everyone you listed up there. In his defense...he didn't have great receivers aside from a young Devonta Smith. Lamar and Vick were further along than Hurts is/was. He has some ways to go if he's ever going to get there.

If you’re offering Eagles + 14 vs Dallas I’ll take it all day long.
