I am curious as to what the actual details of the Gregory deal was. We know years and total dollars, but what were the nitty gritty details - signing bonus, guaranteed money, base salaries, etc.

We should be glad this deal with Von Miller did not go through! Why pay so much for an old fart??? Enough with the overpaying already. Cowboys are so lucky Sam Williams was still available late in the 2nd round when they drafted him. Sam Williams is going to make Cowboys Nation forget all about Gregory or Von Miller. It's like when the Cowboys finally settled late in the 4th for Dak. They tried so hard to draft a bunch of failures during the 1st & 2nd round. Thanks to luck, they were forced to settle late for Dak which proved to be the best deal for everyone involved. The same thing is going to happen here with Sam Williams.

He's past his prime and a progress stopper.

He refused but said he would have taken less from Dallas than Rams and Bills.

A difference of something like 17 mill in guaranteed money. Realistically, the commitment (i.e., how long you are stuck with the player if he isn't producing) is 3 year 55 mill vs. 3 year 42 mill. That's a pretty large gap.

The gamble with Miller is his age - he was great in the playoffs but realistically, you are looking at a guy who is will be taking fewer snaps as he becomes a pass rush specialist. At least with Gregory's gamble, if he screws up, he isn't getting those contract years paid out.

He chose the Bills because they have a legit Super Bowl contender that’s on the brink.

He chose the Bills because they gave him several more million dollars. He was willing to come to Dallas for less, so logic would tell you he chose the Bills because of money.

There's a reason Denver wanted a younger, less proven player, too.

I mean, that is a great perk, but he literally said it was the offer amount.

So the Cowboys offered Von Miller a 5 year/$70 million offer with the first 2 years guaranteed? That comes out to $14 million/year, the first 2 years fully guaranteed and the final 3 years on a "prove it" deal for a 33 year old, yet Von Miller refused it and is now complaining???

He needs to STHU and stop making himself look so greedy already.

I cosign on him being too old for a big deal. I think he's good as a complementary piece. Here he would have needed to be the main guy and hope others step up to help.

I haven’t seen what he said I moved on after he signed with the Bills.
