Favre was never the best QB in the NFL either with all his turnovers. Only a moron ignores THAT but there are plenty here. You screamed about Romo's pics, Favre had far more.
Favre had some great years man don’t let his last few years cloud that.

Farve but really close

however, id take Romo over dak by a small margin. thats more of a fair of an assessment to compare to guy in nearly identical situations. Maybe Romo on Farves teams could have done just as well..how do we know?, i think Romo may have better than Aikman but no way to prove it unless Romo played on those 90s SB teams FULL of HOF players and better coaches..

This is said alot so i get why your bringing it up but Troy was an elite passer he just didnt have to do it every game to win with that team. When he did do it he was damn good at it. I would say if Troy got to play with Romo's team and rules he would've been i top passing QB in the league also.

The kicker here is Romo was a huge Favre fan and modeled himself after him and y’all are questioning if Favre was ever the best in a year….sheesh….

Brad Johnson has a ring.
Flacco has a ring.
Dan Marino does not.
Jim Kelly does not.

Now see how stupid you sound?
Packers got their ring because of Favre…..now if you want to be naive and silly enough to think the Buccaneers have a ring because of Brad Johnson then that’s on you and the place you chose to go to rehab.

Y’all need to quit bringing up Marino to defend Romo. Marino went to a SB.

The day, when sports conversations can differentiate the significance of winning single sports championship like the legends above, from winning team sports championships, like 7-time NFL champion Tom Brady, will be the same day football discussions about who do or do not have Super Bowl rings shall finally be put in proper perspective.

Of course, that day will never happen on CowboysZone. Carry on.

while i can agree with some of that,

i watched the games, i see the regular season numbers and not just because of the 200 or sub 20 game because of Emmit's prowess, the INT to TD ratio was pedestrian and thats key in my book,..,romo had far more Tds and less to the same INTs over the same time frame,

go look at their career numbers

for guy like Romo who allegedly was coined a mistake prone QB, which he was NOT, look at his td-INT ratio and look at troys.

sorry but TRomo very underrated around here. the guy was great especially for an UDFA. he also moved in the pocket well and throw on the run and did some fun things.. look at those number dez put up , TOP, Robinson, Austin and other all had career type years with Romo,. that wasn't the era, that was ROMO. He ran that offense WELL. audibles etc threw guys open.id take him over dak but its my opinion.

romo-
248 TDS 117 INT

Troy- 165 TDS 141 INTS

I mean give me break on Romos TO Prone. his number blew the doors off Troys 141 INTs come on

I liked Romo still do, but the big point for me is the rule changes, there is a reason why the passing numbers are going insane and INT numbers have fell like a rock in water....Coverage rule changes made this happen by design as the NFL (rightfully so) thought people wanted to see more long passes and more scoring.

The most amazing thing about Farve was that he never missed a game for almost two decades.

Toughest dude to ever play the position.

I’m more convinced than ever that some fans would rather lose with Romo than win it all with another QB.

Again i like Romo always have but some of you have some sort of Romo PTS, From a diferent forum i guess there must have been a "Romo's Pappydog" that some took way to serisouly. Romo was good Favre will go down as a top 10 QB to ever play...thats not dogging Romo thats just a fact.
