Yep back in my early 20s my drunk butt got into a car I had no idea was stolen till I seen the cherries

I had to fight a stolen car charge because I was there when they pulled car over in the end I was exonerated but you can bet that’s one dude I no longer associated with

live and learn

So they force you to lawyer up.

i don’t think Goodell is responsible for handing out punishment anymore. The NFL hired a independent arbitrator. I could be wrong.

I think that the way the new process works it a mediator makes a recommendation for punishment--or not--but then King Roger has the power to override and modify it.

But all I know is what I've read on the internet. I'm sure other posters here have more insight on this than I do.

The writing was on the wall when he didn't get arrested. Anyone with half a brain knew this day was coming. So now that he's officially cleared I guess it's time for Goodell to make his decision.

You do what you got to do. My choices put me in that spot but in the end justice prevailed. Had I not been a careless choice maker I wouldn’t have been there to begin with

that bad choice followed by the reaction to it helped change the course of my life for the better. Once I paid off my lawyer bills I quit drinking to excess and it’s amazing how much less trouble you get in and you don’t have bad circumstances as often

I receive the report as is, but color me skeptical that I think if he wasn't a Cowboy, he wouldn't have been charged.
Sorry, but I know too many cases where celebrity and being the athlete allowed folks to get out of tight spots that others couldn't.
Having said thus, you got a second chance, KJ. Make good of it.

And that why we wait until everything gets sorted out before making judgements and crazy comments.

BDC, it's not wrong to question his decision process, the people he likes to hang out with and the lifestyle he/they surround themselves with. Plus, remember, Joseph would not have been found to be involved if camera videos identifying him as one of the assailants had not been provided. Joseph most certainly did not come forward on his own from the very beginning to admit he was involved. Instead, he stayed quiet for at least a month until the police identified him. What does that say about him and his character? Are fans not supposed to question that? If he was so innocent, why didn't he come forth and say something about it from the beginning, instead of staying silent? He still would have stayed silent had the police not identified him. What does that truly say about him?

There is still the video of him fighting in the street and he did not come forth until he was identified. He didn't do the right thing, he did the only thing he could do once he was identified. I think he gets 4-6 games.

I think Goodell has been getting an earful from the other owners about if witnessing a murder and not coming forth isn't conduct detrimental, what is?

He wasn't cleared because he wasn't charged. They weren't going in on a he said/she said with an OSU football star.

The investigator didn't believe her, the panel of 4 did. Goodell had no choice.

I hear what you're saying. But I don't think there is any reason for that. All Goodell would be doing is drawing attention to this. He doesn't have to do anything. I don't think the arbitrator would give him any suspension. So what if he was in a fight?

Judge, Jury and Executioner.........i just hope he learned his lesson and does not get himself in these type of situations with these type of "friends". Get his priorities straight. Football should be on the top of his list right now. Actually, the only thing on his list.
