"Good enough" is the tricky part of that. What's the next step? Win a divisional playoff game?

Camp means nothing except coming out of it with healthy players because it's all propaganda.

Until they tee it up for real, in games that really count, we won't know any more about this team than we do now. And even then, we will have to see how they do once they hit midseason.

This team can be a real tease.

My answer would be an emphatic NO. They weren't good enough last year when they had their best defense in years, and the #1 offense in the league. Since then they lost 3 starting players in Gregory, Collins and Cooper. They really did not replace any of those guys with players of the same talent level.

San Francisco man handled them in their playoff game with injuries to their offensive and defensive lines.

The Cowboys will absolutely take a step back in 2022. It is the price to be paid for being so passive in the offseason while Philly and NY went out and improved their rosters. There is an old expression, "If you are standing still, you are moving backwards".

Ok, here we go for the last question right before TC starts tomorrow. At least reporting to TC.

The 3 pundits from the mother ship give their answers.

I am in a wait and see how they look on the field mode. But think they can be better if all goes right

Gregory and an out of shape Collins can be easily replaced. Cooper is a different story, CeeDee will need to be a beast....I think he can be.

I'd say yes depending upon the health & development of the Oline. That really feels like the story of the season for this team. Without that unit playing at a high level I see no way they can compete with the better teams in the NFL. If the Oline is rolling going into the post season I give the Cowboys at least a punchers chance going up against anyone.

Yah, for me its always been about fixing the Oline. I cant say we have done that yet. But if we can stay around 11-6 or 12-5 with all these young players then that will be a job well done for THIS team. That will mean that a lot of these young guys are developing well and were headed in the right direction.

Cooper is replaced by a better and more talented player in Lamb. Thats an upgrade. Gregory is a debate with being replaced with Williams and the FA. Steele and Collins is a wash. Tyler Smith is a big upgrade over Williams.

Zeke is healthy, Dak is healthy, Washington is better than Wilson and Gallup remains a very good #2. Ferguson is added along with Tolbert to the offense.

Pollard is an upgrade to the offense waiting to happen.

Plenty of young defensive players in their 2nd and 3rd years that will be improving. 2nd year under Quinn for the defense.

Salary cap and team structure is much improved and chemistry should improved.

Biggest impediments for me are the tougher schedule and improved Eagles team.

I think we can say that about a lot of teams. I have the worst time predicting how a Cowboys season is going to go. I remember thinking we were going to be terrible in 2014. But a lot of that is listening to these so called experts. Who IMO, are wrong more often than they are right.

Here's a look back at predictions going into the 2014 season.

You timed it right, that was well planned ahead of time my friend. It's time for TC, now we can start all arguing over our own observations.
I cherish this time of year.

If there's only one thing I know, it's that I know nothing. Lol

Probably not, we probably need "another year" to build the lines, but sometimes unexpected things happen.

Just saying that this roster has a few WR2 already established.
WR1 at the X is CDs to lose but doesn't mean he won't be moved around as well.
