What does the "active/non-football injury" list mean? Is he active or not?
But the big news.
It means he's in camp working with the docs and trainers. So he's active, but he still can't perform. As oppose to bring freshly injured and have to work out at a rehab facility. What does the "active/non-football injury" list mean? Is he active or not?
That definitely is BIG - and most welcome - news in my opinion. I look forward to him playing a big role this year.

P.S.- I just made that BS up. But it sounds good.
Me too. I still think LVE has a little something to help. Parsons, Cox, LVE can be decent for us at LB.
I is called active NFI list during the preseason because a player can come off the NFI list at anytime. What does the "active/non-football injury" list mean? Is he active or not?

LVE has healed mentally and physically from having his neck fused. That’s a big surgery and takes a while to not only heal physically but mentally. For someone that runs head first into a car accident many many times a game I am sure it’s scary for a while. He did well last year, especially with Parsons playing with him. LVE don’t have to be the only stud on the LBs.Me too. I still think LVE has a little something to help. Parsons, Cox, LVE can be decent for us at LB.
I know the three UDFAs Drummond, Mosely, and Hansgord really want to hit the field and show what they got, but their PUP list designation sort of prevents them from rushing back and perhaps extending their injury/ delaying their full recovery.
Players on the active/PUP list count against the 90-man offseason roster and can be activated at any time during training camp and ahead of 53-man roster cuts. If a player remains on the active/PUP list at the time of 53-man roster cuts, they can be placed on the reserve/PUP list to start the season. Being placed on the PUP list at the start of the season means Michael Gallup will miss the first 4 games of the season. He can practice with the team during that time, but he now would have to wait until Week 5 to play. What does the "active/non-football injury" list mean? Is he active or not?
