Dak Prescott is plenty capable of leading a team to a deep playoff run, he just needs to be used correctly. I dont think we necessarily do that anymore, and the contract is probably a factor.

A 4-5 year extension coming next season IMO. He's not playing 2024 w/o a new deal ( 2023 last year of guaranteed money in the contract).

They probably will give him an extension next year just because his cap number jumps $30M and they have a couple of other guys they need to sign. They shouldn't have signed him to a 4-year deal in the first place. They prorated his bonus over a term longer than his contract. They wrote $13M in guaranteed dead money into the contract, which is just stupid.

to move on from dak they would need to tank a season, and jones boys are not smart enough to do that.
For the jones boys every season is a sb season ! or more aptly put, is a chance to go to SB in their small minds.

They could look for another 2nd round to 4th round qb, and just beef up their defense, but they wont do that.

Personally I wish him nothing but the best. Being focused on football after losing your mom to cancer, brother to suicide & grandmom, takes a toll on a person's heart, soul & mind.

He's a survivor for sure. I think if he wasn't on our team I'd still root for him. There's a couple players in the league that I root for just because they seem to be good people. Dak would be one of those people. I hope he wins a super bowl for us.
