The reports out of camp aren’t very promising. He’s getting beat by Armstrong and Basham. No bueno

Really? He was #1 in the NFL (LT) in not allowing pressure or sacks last year

Why wait?

Consider Tyler Smith's guard experiment over. Switch him immediately to LT. The first 3-4 games are not going to be pretty but there should be a steep trajectory.

Let's face it, you can't go into a season with a LT status of "?".

Throw two TE's in there and let's go. They should run the ball and stick with it. Make those opportunistic throws to CeeDee. That "2nd" receiver question might just end up being "None of the Above" because the passing is going to involve a lot of quick deliveries.

They could be successful, They are built for it with two pass catching TE's now and two excellent pass catching RB's.

During the four year run in which the Cowboys won three SB's, the "2nd" receiver had the 4th or 5th most receptions. It was Irvin and then RB's Smith and Johnston with TE Novacek. followed by Harper or Kevin Williams.

With a running offense and short passes, the Cowboys can buy some time for Tyler Smith at LT.

It may be better just to assume that Tyron isn't going to play and consider it a pleasant surprise when he does.

I feel so sorry for him.
Except for the money he's earned and well deserved, but...

His body is becoming an abused geriatric while he's in his 30's.
No matter how much he has earned, he may not truly enjoy a single penny of it.

Couldn't agree more Corso. I'm 53 and in DECENT shape overall. Played sports through high school but never football. Played baseball and basketball. Worked some hard jobs into my 30's and I have some joint and knee issues. I can't even wrap my mind around what these guys go through. I've only sat down near the field in one NFL game. It was a Lions/Bears matchup when Ditka was the Bears coach. Sunday night game on ESPN in the early 90's and I swear to you guys it was the most brutal and vicious thing I've ever witnessed in my life. Guys were screaming with pain they were being hit so hard. Real eye opener. Again, what these guys go through is just.....beyond the pale. Smith shoulda retired about 3 years ago if he wants any chance of a semi healthy future. I love him as a player, but as a human being he should see it's past time.

I agree with you, but I just don't know who is available at this point that we can trust to replace Tyron if need be. Ereck Flowers? Sam Tevi? Every tackle worth his salt is on a roster right now and it's also going to be hard to find some team willing to trade a quality swing tackle when they might need him for themselves.
Yep,
We are doomed!

Should have cut him in the offseason and saved 13 million. Now he’s going to be hurt all year.even if he plays he won’t be 100%

You realize he won’t be 100% all season if he’s having these issues now, right? His body doesn’t recover during the season anymore. Pain becomes tolerable at certain points but he always begins a downhill descent once the injuries start. Usually it’s about 2 months later.

Cheap shot on a future HOF player....the vatto has stood his post with toughness and determination for many contests. Sure he’s been gimping last few years but this organization got a ton out of that man....and he deserves much respect
Salud Tyron

Of course he deserves much respect, and gratitude to go with it! But that doesn't solve the Cowboy's problem that they
STILL NEED A LT! We keep nursing Tyron along year after limping year and STILL no good solution in sight. When is Jerry and co. ever going to do something about it?
