Let’s be honest about the defense

Agreed!......Defensive backs don't contest the passes thrown....only saw Diggs do it a couple of times..otherwise, it was pretty much pitch and catch for TB. Demarcus Lawrence was a no-show, which is not a surprise...and the alleged big boys in the middle of the line haven't tackled anyone yet behind or near the line of scrimmage.....Parsons made two nice sacks, but otherwise was looking out is earhole on several occasions and almost non-existent for the rest of the game. It's just a product of Jerry Jones snake oil sales and the hype machine he employs to over-state and over-hype this team, year in and year out. For the most part, they are mid-to-low achievers and will again embarrass and disappoint their legions of fans......which is sad. Wish someone in the organization had the guts to apologize for their disgusting play, but it won't happen.

Awful take. They kept this a two score game to the bitter end. Fournette was gashing them because they couldn't stay off the field.

Stick to spectating.
Agreed. Overall, they played okay, maybe not quite as good as I expected. The run D was decent I thought.

First thing you have to do is understand your opponent. Leonard Fournette is a power back, so you shouldn't start Osa at DT against a guy like that. The same thing goes for our CB's against their wide receivers. Anthony Brown should never have been asked to cover any of those big body guys. You match toughness with toughness. You match size with size. It's not all that difficult.

A 2 score game is not a close game when tying it would mean multiplying your score by 633%. Relativity

The defense played bend but dont break and considering the offense crapped the bed 19-3 isnt too bad

Decent up the middle. Atrocious on the left side. Fournette had how many 10+ yard runs?
Don’t know but certainly the D was gassed. I’m not too concerned about the D other than Kearse. That offense was worse than some of those Campo teams.

Not sure how anyone can complain about the defense. They did everything they could to keep the offense in game while getting very little rest between 3 & outs and short drives.

You're just goofy. I have nothing to prove to you.

The fact that you can watch that game objectively and come after the defense, then I can't help you.

I'm sorry.

I think some might be praising the D a bit too much however. They let the Bucs move the ball at will against them only to stiffen up in the red zone. And that's great but likely not sustainable over an entire season. The run D, I fear, is going to be a problem again especially when we face really good OLs and teams that can commit to jamming it down our throat.

They still are mostly a finesse defense sans a few guys. Not really built to stop the ground and pound all game.

Anything to take the blame away from the QB and horrible offense I guess.

This defense held TB scoreless through halftime. We couldn’t have asked for more. A single TD and we would have been leading going into the third.

They weren't scoreless through halftime. TB scored on every possession except the missed FG.
