Nope! I’m saying that ain’t the same team from the SB and even then I thought getting there was more luck than talent. I’ve watched both their games this year… Fairly sure they’re going to be one of those post SB teams that lays an egg!
They were one missed block away from shocking the world. But you’re correct. That oline is gonna get JBurrow killed. At some point those hits take their toll. Those first few years for Troy shortened his career

Yep. Yet, so many want to disrupt this starting Oline which Joe Philbin finally got correct by forced chance?

Keep the starting 5 as is and let them gel and keep getting better. Youth, strength and agility is the best way to go.
Agreed. I would really like to see Peters in there next to Smith. And keep pounding the rock with Zeke and Tony. Keep our defense from getting gassed and worn out in games and for the season

I'm excited and happy that we beat a team that was in the super bowl last year. Especially after how we played the Bucs I honestly didn't think we'd win a game. Then to turn around and beat the defending AFC champion. Starting this season I was expecting to go 0-2, so getting a W is fun.

I don't consider myself a "Cowboys Hater", but like I said in the game day thread, I have no idea how the Bengals made it to the Super Bowl.

And when Jim Nantz said "There's sack number 6!", I was thinking, "that can't be right, I feel like we've sacked Burrow at least 10 times by now".

That offensive line is straight up G-A-R-B-A-G-E.

I get that they made it to the SB last year. But they could realistically not even have a winning record this year if they don't do something to keep Burrow upright.

I know their OLine was not good last year either, but he was sacked "only" 51 times last year (as pathetic as that sounds).

But this year? Burrow is on pace to be sacked 110 times this year, and the Cowboys aren't even leading in that race. Which is saying something after completely inept performance I witnessed on Sunday.

Had the Cowboys Offense been able to put together a drive or two in the 3rd Quarter, and not even score but to just get the D a little bit of rest, I doubt the defense would have given up the tie at the end because they would have not been so tired.

Having said that, a win is a win, and I will take those all day. But IMO, the loss last year to the Bucs was way more impressive than the win against the Bengals this year. Yet, it was better than the garbage we put out week 1 this year, so at least there was some improvement there.

Sorry if I come across as a "hater", but neither team on the field Sunday was a "Super Bowl Quality" team.

Just goes to show...you arent as smart as you think you are.

Rush isn’t better than Dak. He isn’t even better than the other backup. Athletically he’s a barely serviceable 3rd string. He’s there because of his cognitive understanding of the offense and ability to function as a 2nd QB coach!
Well if he gets 3 more games, we will find out.

Clearly, Joe Burrow has proven incapable to make his team better this season, yet many posters around here still praise him. But mention Dak, oooh, he outright sucks since he supposedly can't make his team better.

Well just a few here say that over and over lol.
Joe was a # 1 overall pick, made the team a little better right away and led the team to a SB game in his 2nd season.
That builds credit. Dak has been here 6 years and only got to div rd twice and lost both times, so less credit built by him.

QB's can make their team better or help the team, but they cant do it all or elevate the other players, they can only inspire the
other players, with the way they play themselves.

Let me ask you a question AC, what kind of a grade would you give dak for that 1st game ??
To me he didnt seem ready mentally and maybe physically, and it showed in the way he played.
After all his preseason talk, he didnt deliver at all.

Rush playing only his 2nd nfl game with same team, delivered and seemed more ready and prepared than dak.
I will take the better prepared and motivated guy who keeps his cool, over the more talented guy who is not prepared or motivated, and gets rattled.

Dak gets an F for his Week 1 performance, but so does the Oline, WRs, O-Coordinator, Oline Coach, WRs Coach and Head Coach. I knew they would come out super rusty after being coddle all preseason and not made to play in order to truly get ready for Week 1.

Kudos to Cooper Rush and the better improved and motivated Offense during Week 2. Certainly helps after your owner/GM and Head Coach both get after everyone and tell them to make smarter decisions and perform better. This should have started since the 1st preseason game.

You nailed it, 2 whole close games spells the demise of Joe Burrow......otay.

Remind Jerry. Somehow he thinks we have to watch out for those Egals. :muttley:

Yeah we better. Beating Cinn was big but Philly looks good right now and i expect a full on fight with Philly. Hell I'm not looking past NYG. NFC East may not be as weak as you think this season. Hell Jerry is smart enough to see how Philly is looking even if you don't.

I saw the game, and the better team on this day was the Dallas Cowboys. Plain & simple.

The final score result not withstanding- it would have been a monumental flop not to win a game that was really dominated by the Cowboys D from jump.

But Moore really tried to shell the offense way, way too much in the 2nd half.

Credit Rush for being game-y enough to get it done one final time and prevent disaster.

I had us 1-1, so we need the next 2 to match my expectations and keep the season goals in sight imho.

Not to take anything away from the win but I said prior to the season I didn’t think Cincinnati was that good and that it would probably take another 30 years for them to reach another Super Bowl. Their odds on getting back to the Super Bowl this season weren’t that good.

Agree, I feel we have a good chance of winning both games. If we can win in the trenches we are a scary team with that defense. Micah will be the MVP this season and will get the sack record without anyone taking a dive for him.
