It is a mind fake from MM and the staff.
He may play.
I agree I hope he is wrong also. However, if not, waiting another week, may be for better as it is a long season to go yet.
if this happens i'll be so excited lol...i've been waiting for games from our staff like this for a long time...especially to do this to Dabol's new staff will throw him off for the next game at home as well later in the season.

Still amazes me that Adrian Peterson came back from an ACL tear in 9 months and rushed for 2,097 yards that year.

Godwin did it in 9 months as well. Sadly, he hurt his hamstring and is missing time. Peterson is just insane though

But Godwin did not have one padded practice to where he was allowed to be tackled ie wore the no contact jersey., TB dropped the ball.. Gallups been full go all week after slowly working n toward this week.

Within the first few weeks after surgery, you should strive to regain a range of motion equal to that of your opposite knee. Recovery generally takes about nine months. It may take eight to 12 months or more before athletes can return to their sports.Mar 6, 2021

ACL reconstruction - Mayo Clinic

In case you were wondering what people who actually attended medical school said about the procedure.
Nah Bro, Dr. Jerry will have him back in 7 months.

We don't need him. The powerhouse corps of Lamb-Brown-Tolbert will be more than enough to dominate the Giants.

They just said on ESPN that Gallup is a game time decision from one source and out from another source.

I would love to actually know if Parsons is hurt or allergies. I think his same knee as last year is hurt again. Put the surgery off. He played last year with the pcl injury..

I just saw Slater interviewed on NFLN and she said the reply she got was mysterious. No physical set back, he just isn't ready.

Which brings up the question if he's mentally ready, does he trust that repair enough to play like he usually plays because he goes airborne quite a bit and comes down on one leg.

Why waste the roster spot? Once again, these guys do not know how to manage players. He should’ve went to the IR and a guy like Brandon smith should’ve been able to play.

Instead they don’t IR him and he misses 3-4 games

Well hindsight is always 20/20, but its hard to give this front office the benefit of the doubt.
It sounded like he could have played the first game according to Jerry.
Really disappointed he's not playing tonight.

I guess I'm in the minority thinking we are better to wait a week or two more. I like Gallup much more than any Cowboys' receiver outside of Lamb. But, I hate to see him get reinjured or injure something else because he was favoring his knee. I know that if he plays everything should be good. But NFL players are so competitive by nature that it might be easy to convince themselves they are ready.

It's even more complicated once you include doctors, coaches and owners in the decision mix.

If he plays, I hope he's healthy and ready to go. If he doesn't, I'm ok with that, too.

But wasn't WR Chris Godwin's recent injury (hamstring) actually a different injury than one he was recovering from (ACL) ..?
He came back to early the hamstring was probably a byproduct of coming back early.
