I was very wrong about him. I thought he was a complete trash QB and we had a horrific QB situation behind Dak that would be a disaster if they ever had to play for any amount of time.

This guy has proven he is what you want in a backup qb. Give us a chance to win, not limit the offense, and actually play well in crunch time.

I would extend him now to a competitive backup QB salary and lock him up for a few years so we don't have to worry about it anymore.

He may be looking for more at this point. Maybe he'd take the security of a backup contract over the possibility of being a starter with an even bigger deal...

I wish we'd have signed TP already too...

We can get a 3rd round comp pick for him if no trade partner.
Jerry made say....if we can't trade him we will let him test the FA market....

That's why we should trust the coaches, scouts and FO, before we start calling players trash, idiot, etc.

I doubt very much but if he continues to play well, that will change.

This is a guy who was exposed to the entire league a few weeks ago and no one even was phased. Do that now and there would be a bunch of claims.

The delusion is strong in this one.

Ya, I don't mean give him a 3 year 10 mill contract at all. Holy cow.

How is it a backhand compliment?

OH....it is because you and the rest of the football illiterate are ready to give him 40 mill a year?

Gotcha!
The man has never lead his team to a loss, done something only Kurt Warner has done, but you're on here saying things like "he's what you want in a back up...blah blah blah".

It's easy to see what you're doing.

You were wrong about him, yes, but you're wrong about almost everything.

I can't see getting very much for him at this point. If the legend of Cooper Rush continues to grow after a couple more W's and maybe a 300+ yard game that could change.

Right now though the narrative seems to be a backup QB who's biggest attribute is knowing the offense and being able to work within the offense. A team could be crazy to give up any sort of significant draft capital for Cooper Rush in a walk year and has to learn a new system with new players mid year. I think he has more value to the Cowboys than he does any other team for 2022.

Serious question… Do you believe Dak Prescott is worth his contract?

Your answer will determine whether or not it’s a waste of time to continue to communicate with you

RIGHT.

Yes, the guy will never lose a game.

This is the smart football move btw, i know that is difficult for you to understand.

It's ok, save your time. If you believe he isn't worth the contract (other than the obvious that NO ONE is worth their contracts), then you are just another delusional Dak hater.

If Dak played like Coop yesterday, there would be 20 threads on the front page with how he is trash and a backup.

We couldn't even if we wanted too. Dak is taking a large part of the cap space and we couldn't afford paying 2 QB's top dollar. Bad enough we are overpaying for a mediocre QB now.
