What's Funny to me about Rush vs Prescott

Let me start out by saying that there is literally NOTHING that Cooper Rush does better than Dak Prescott. NOTHING. Lie to yourselves if you want to. Allow your biases against Dak to cloud your thinking all you want but there is nothing Rush does better. He plays within his own ability and doesn't try to do to much and manages to do just enough. That's his job. Yes, I give him props for that, he deserves it.

The funny thing to me is, the same people who are pumping up Cooper Rush are the people who saw him in training camp and in the preseason, who were screaming from the rooftops for Will Grier to be handed the backup QB job. That's not hilarious to anyone else? Yall think he's just a guy that turns it on with lights on?

So all of a sudden, Dak gets hurt, and Cooper Rush comes in and performs the role of a substitute teacher and we happen to win two games and now he's better? All he's been asked to do is follow the teacher's lesson plan and not let the kids burn down the classroom. THAT'S IT! We've scored two touchdowns in the last seven quarters and all of a sudden, he gives us a better chance to win. We lose these games easily if not for the defensive efforts we have gotten. Dak hangs 40 on that Giants team. Make it make sense. I got a BC powder for your eventual headaches.

Stop this ridiculousness.

Dallas had no pre-season game of note and then in Game 1 faced the league's leading defense in Tampa.
Dak looked awful but this team looks awful week 1 basically every year because they sit out pre-season and Dak was uber productive last year.

Even the dummies typing this nonsense realize when Dak comes back he will start and play well versus these same type of teams Rush is beating.

Of course Dak should be the starter, but to say Cooper does nothing better is wrong. You going to tell me that Dak can process info quicker and read a D better than Cooper is just ridiculous.Rush is known for his football intelligence and for being a film room junkie,2 things Dak is not.

You'll only have to put up with the ridiculousness for at most two more games...maybe less if the Commanders march into Arlington and secure a victory, or the backup QB plays terribly.
#4 will eventually be back in the saddle...just hope he and the team wait until his hand is fully healed and functionable.

I guarantee you that Rush can read a defense better than Dak.

If you can't see that after 7 years Dak has trouble with this while Rush seems to get the ball out and have guys in the right places then you are allowing your biases for Dak to cloud your thinking.

You said this also "He plays within his own ability and doesn't try to do to much and manages to do just enough" ... THAT right there is ANOTHER thing that Cooper does better than Dak. He plays within his abilities and doesn't try to do to much. So you go from saying Cooper does nothing better than Dak to literally the next sentence showing an example of something Cooper does better than Dak.

This posts just is another example of a supposed Cowboys fan sounding bitter that we're winning games without Dak instead of being happy that we're winning.

For as bad as you guys like to try and convince people that Rush is you guys seem awfully insecure enough to smear his name and what he's been able to do in the name of Dak.

I love Dak, but this is a “what have you done for me lately?” business.

Dak was awful in Week 1 and got hurt. We lost.

Rush has been very solid in Weeks 2-3, both wins.

If Rush can keep this up, then what? And if Dak comes back and lays another egg, then what?

Both huge “ifs”. I still think Dak will come back and play at a high level, but let’s see how it plays out.

Rush is very comfortable in this offense and is playing rock solid football. Maybe with our strong defense and run game, a “game manager” who takes deep shots every now and then is what we need?

Injuries create opportunities, and Dak knows that better than anyone.

Do you think Rush is better than Dak? Can we get you on record with that?

I refuse to put a ceiling on Cooper Rush. He just may very well be what this team needs, but I still need to see more evidence of it.

Amazing the amount of energy and emotions of those that support Dak more than the Cowboys pour into these threads. They can't appreciate what Rush is doing to help Dallas win and instead of cheering for the franchise they attack those who would dare have questions about Dak or celebrate the Cowboys with anyone but Dak at QB.

I think that is valid but also a 2 way street for those constantly hating on Dak. I love seeing Cooper Rush out there helping this team win, to me come Sunday I'm pulling for the Cowboys including Cooper Rush because last time I checked he was a member of this team.

Yes, there is. Rush reads the field pre-snap and determines the play, whether to check out of it or not, way better than Dak. In fact, the Bucs aced Dak pre-snap all game in game 1, which is why they couldn't score any points.

Rush is better mentally.

For sure.

Amen, brother.

I was wrong about Rush ..... He has earned the backup spot.

Hopefully there will not be a QB controversy because the only way there would be is if Dak plays poorly when he returns ...... And most fans would not want that.

I think he does things better than Dak and Dak does things better than him.

1. I think Dak, even after the injury, is still more mobile that Rush. But then Rush offsets that by getting the ball out quicker and not needing to be as mobile.

2. I think it's obvious to anyone that Rush reads a defense better also.

3. To me it seems Rush will take the "right" play over the big play opportunity. Personally, I like that approach more. I like the slow, time consuming, 10+ play drives that ends in points. It reminds me of the 2014 and 2016 teams.

4. Dak seems to be the more big play threat, but then again, not enough sample size from Rush. CeeDee did drop a big play easy TD from Rush though.

The sample size is really too small with Rush to confidently be able to say he's definitively more talented than Dak.

At the end of the day for me it all boils down to Cooper Rush being the unknown. We don't know what he can or cannot be right now. We don't know what he can be the more comfortable he gets and the more work he gets with the 1's.

We known what we're getting with Dak. I challenge anyone to show me a QB that has made drastic improvements in year 7, with 1 major injury, and minor injuries raking up. It just don't happen.

what is funny is we beat the NY Giants when Dak has done that we get this crap of Oh it was just the Giants so somehow it don't count. Rush I was thrilled he and this team were able to pull a close hard fought game, when point in the game where the QB had to step up and make key plays Rush did just that. I'm not hearing as much of Oh it was just the Giants. Pro football every week counts regardless of who you are facing, that team is capable to pulling the upset. Been watching this game to long to act as if any win is meaningless
