Week 3 was not very productive for the LBs stat wise.
Only Parsons with 1 tackle and LVE with 3 assists recorded stats, Barr registered a zero.
IF QB pressures were a recorded stat, we would be leading the league in that category.

Team …....... Barr …......... LVE
TAM …......... 56% …......... 85%
CIN ….......... 87% …......... 90%
NYG …......... 61% …......... 83%

I thought that with Kearse out that Jabril Cox might get some playing time.
- Kearse plays a coverage LB role on about 40% or more of snaps (The 3 Safety sets).
- That seems like a role ideally suited for Jabril Cox.
- Instead they played Parsons more at off-ball LB than they had in the 1st two games.
- i.e. Parsons, LVE and Barr all at LB on some snaps.
For the good Dan Quinn has done with this Defense, he certainly has made some very dumb mistakes that have hurt this D as well. It's like he's stubbornly picking veterans over the younger/quicker/faster/more aggressive players.

Who knows how this is going to work out health wise, but his upside is through the roof.

Damone Clark was highly regarded, in no small measure, before his injury.

We'll see how he does upon his recovery. Let's hope his recovery is 100%.

Would like him this season, but I am greedy that way.
6'3" 245lb and 4.57 speed, another weapon for Q.

Id rather make sure he's healed. Next year him and cox shoyluld be able to step in and help this defense.

This is actually the guy that Im looking forward to seeing. We actually need him in a bad way to replace the hapless LVE.

Next year. Have Bohanna upfront 75 % and put Kearse when he is ready there. Wilson stays where he is.

Examples please
For example...

Anthony Barr has missed several tackles (especially against the Giants where he hesitated from the edge shooting inside and missed wide openly RB Saquon Barkley on a draw up the middle who ran past Barr's missed tackle and took it 30+ yards for a TD) and made several dumb fouls (like the late hit on the QB sliding Joe Burrow).

Jabril Cox would definitely had used his speed and quickness to stop Barkley in the backfield or held him to a small gain, and Cox certainly would not be committing dumb mental personal fouls. Plus, Jabril Cox is quicker, faster and more agile than 33 year old and worn down Anthony Barr is at this stage of his career.

Why is Dan Quinn stubbornly favoring old and beat up veterans over our young and more faster/quicker younger players?

We'll see how much gas he has left in the tank post-surgery. It's not an easy injury to bounce back from.

I was a huge Clark fangirl and though he was well worth buying a 5th round lottery ticket, but I am counting on nothing from him.
