Let me explain. Yeah we get sacks, but we need an end to set the edge like d law does or close to it to stop those big runs. Sam Williams had the size for it. I’d hope Barr at lb er can help. He’s a pretty big lb er.

Yeah Micha stunk it up too at setting the edge on the right side but I give him a pass because I feel he was only at 70% due to the flu.

Our run defense still worries me a little. We gave up over 100 yards rushing in the first half.

I think it comes down to what DQ wants to stop
He was playing a mistake prone QB so he went pass rush over run stopping in first half
It sure seems that way. Halftime came and they shut down the run and it wasn't a fluke. A lot of his at the light or backfield.

Dallas needs a real run stopping MLB. LVE is ok but you want a dominate defense ok has to get better. I'd also maybe think about giving Brown some competition at the corner spot. And on the DT side. I thought Gallimore was pretty much it against the run. Nobody really pushed the middle consistently in the pass game-let alone the run. Also Quinn has to find a way to get Parson loose. Teams are now scheming against him and pretty much being successful at neutralizing and slowing up Parsons. IMO.

That's why you don't play him at de full time. A 245lber isn't setting an edge vs a 320lb ot. You can't expect him to be able to.
If we have 2 mobster d t s and a Wagner at mid lb er , we could get by

I totally agree with you. Let willams play more, put Micha at LB and let him rush when Williams drops into coverage.

It's early to pass judgment but I feel we ae doing pretty well stuffing the run on short-yardage, and I actually think Armstrong is pretty decent at setting an edge. I think where we are getting caught out is on draw plays and situations where we are getting up the field and our linebackers aren't doing a good job filling the holes.

Armstrong does well against the run. The big outside runs today were against Fowler and Williams.
