And honestly I thought one was pretty tricky tack. He was playing the best DL in the league not named Parsons and wasn't given any help. After the two sacks, I really don't remember much from Donald after that. Learning experience that will benefit him later.

Genuine reason to be concerned when a player has a history but honestly the fact that he didn't let it snowball & seemed to do real well the rest of the game gives me a lot of confidence that this kid really gets it and can adjust on the fly.

Also, I believe I heard somewhere that Peters was coaching him up during the game. Explaining how Donald was setting him up and what he needed to do to counter. Sometimes a player doesn't have to take the field to earn his money.

One big worry that I have this week is with Tyler. I believe he got hit with 2 holding calls vs L.A., I hope that he doesn't become a constant target for the refs going forward.
against a HOF , all pro defensive player of the year type player that did something he rarely does and slid outside to tes the young buck.. Donald beats many layers that way. I dont think the Cowboys practiced or expected that Donald would pay outside that much and caught them all by surprise. Donald near unblockable 1-1 like Parsons, they didnt get him help at first once they slid a TE out that way we were fine. they dont have 4 Donalds on most lines so we will be fine. LOL
hes a rookie, you expect him to be perfect all season??, Tyrone WAS NOT shall we go back and check game by game for 77 as a rookie?and check, how about Emmitt smith and Aikman , all had down years as rookies.

hes played well above expectations and these games are great learning experience for him, we can live with him getting beat or getting few holding penalties to keep his QB from getting killed, at least he was aware of his mistake and went and jumped on that fumble. that shows he wasnt shell shocked from his mistake.

The tidal wave of BS calls is coming. NCSWIC...

If you haven't figured out the NFL playbook by now....here it is...Prop up Dallas record for ratings...followed by some tight losses....referee screw jobs....Dallas squeaks into playoffs...Massive playoff letdown...
Rinse....repeat

One of the holding calls was when he gave up the sack to Donald so it didn't count. Looks like he is the best LT coming out of the 2022 Draft.

Not directed at Tyler but it wouldn’t surprise me if their DL gives our OL a ton of problems in general.

Think what you like, but those old men on that DL are still the strength of that team.

Dude, did you even read my post?

Whether you did or didn't, who are you to tell other fans what they should or shouldn't be concerned about?

One was pretty lame and was the kind of stuff every OL does on almost every play. He was matched up with Donald most of the day and kept him from taking over the game. I’m old enough to remember rookie Larry Allen getting tossed 5 feet with one arm by Reggie White. White beat him a few times that day but Allen held his own verses the best there was for most of the game. We all know what happened next. Smith may not become Allen but he held his own just like Allen did against the best in the league and is only five games into his rookie season. Not bad at all!
