Practice Squad Cowboys sign CB Kendall Sheffield to practice squad

Talented kid. Went to Alabama and Ohio State. Plays in the slot and is a willing tackler. 4.36 speed

Sheffield's speed is intriguing to scouts, as he won back-to-back 110-meter hurdles championships in high school and broke an Ohio State record with 6.6 60-yard dash February 2018.

Despite his blazing speed, he's very average with no ball skills.
Runs a 4.36 40. Decent acquisition as a backup, though.

He has been known to stay extremely close in pursuit, though!

Drafted in 2019 and here is his stats/game logs:

2019: 15 games played 46 tackles 1 forced fumble 3 pass deflections

2020: 12 games played 51 tackles 1 forced fumble 3 pass deflections

2021: 1 game played 4 tackles

He has not played in a game since Jan. 2, 2021.In September 2021 Atlanta placed him on IR (undisclosed), activated from IR in October 2021, did not play and missed the rest of the 2021 season starting in Nov. 2021 due to a hamstring issue, was released by Atlanta in May 2022, claimed by Houston in May 2022, waived by Houston in August 2022 due to injury, reverted to Houston IR due to injury Aug. 2022, and released by Houston in October 2022.

Yeah, this guy seems more frail than some CZ members.

If true that's just sad.
They got more moolah than Bill gates.

There's no question that they're quite generous acquiring expensive stuff, though.

We're talking a jet plane, luxurious yacht, helicopter, party bus, and a knockout mansion.

(I've heard rumors that their acquisitions at AT&T Stadium also aren't too shabby, either.)

Sheffield is still only 26 so not bad if it works out. At least he's not a washed up DB trying to squeeze another year to his career.
