The long game... Going deep into the playoffs.

You mean you played last year even though you were hurt and then didn't do crap in the playoff game. Yeah we know. We saw that game.

So sit it out if you think that's what's, best.

I said it before the last game, with that type of injury, it shouldn't be his decision as to whether he plays or not. A hobbled Zeke doesn't make us better...plus that cold weather gonna have that knee throbbing. He needs to sit and heal until Pollard and Davis show they can't get do better than a one legged RB

I thought he was fine?

Grade 2 sprain, aka a partial tear, of a knee ligament and he sat out one game. Dr. Jerry proclaimed him good to go, but partially torn ligaments don't heal in a week.

Maybe just use him for pass protection until he is 100%. He is definitely the best RB we have in that dept

If he's not healthy just rest him and get him healthy. A healthy Zeke against other teams banged up fronts will be an asset come playoffs.
I agree, I feel we can beat the Packers without Zeke. I'd rather have a healthy rested Zeke for Minnesota and New York. The Packers are banged up as well so the injuries even out. The game will come down to our defense vs Rodgers. I feel our defense wins so give Zeke the week off and like he said play the long game (playoffs). We saw what happened last year when Zeke was banged up. We need Zeke to win down the stretch.

Pollard can carry the load for now. A healthy Zeke will be needed for the playoffs.

Things like this give me a glimmer of hope that someone besides Jerry is making these type of decisions.

The family needs to seriously consider limiting Jerry’s mic time into his 80s.

Not even ripping the guy…but often people say things they shouldn’t as they age. Much like children. They start crapping their pants again also. See where I’m going here?
Lol, yeah I see where you're going and I think we got there 2 or 3 years ago. When Jerry said Dak is "the Daddy" after a game it was time to limit his mic time and start burping him after meals:laugh:

Zeke should do whatever he thinks is necessary for his state of good health to return. Playing in less than an adequate condition could possibly put his knee into a bad state of disrepair. He needs to ensure being available in the stretch of games yet to come. Malik Davis seems reasonably well able to handle the backup RB responsibilities, in the meantime.

Zeke does not want to sit and watch Pollard tear up the field again.
He will play.

Zeke, learned his lesson from last year. He put out over a year of bad tape trying to tough it out for a team that honored him and a fan based that despised him. As with his contract, do what is in your best interests. Pollard, is more than capable of handling RB duties, along with the others.

I like Zeke personally so not hating, but I feel last year coming. Knee could bother him all year and he isn't able to move..

..hey, you ask me. Malik Davis looked good out there. Dude is fast to outside and gets some tough yards. Dont know about his blocking skills though

Let Zeke sit, to heal up. We're only halfway way there.
I like Davis as well. I remember watching in in pre-season and was thinking how is this guy our #4 RB? Rico is good, but I don't think he brings the full skill set to the position as Davis does. IMO, he possibly could be the future bell cow back to be paired with Tony after they release Zeke in March. But I expect them to draft a bruiser back somewhere in rds 2-5.

Thanks for the explanation. I did not realize he had a tear. Get Pollard ready…

This guy is is barely good enough to play when he’s 100%. For the good of the team, sit out until you’re healthy.
 Good lord. You think you're so cool and in the know, doncha?

Whatever. But...since he is a cowboy for your team (right?...it is your team?)...can you TRY to cheer him on as best as you are able?

Rushing champion...the cowboys mis-use....and Zeke is "barely good enough". You zeke haters are nuts.

If Zeke sits then I hope they have a plan to keep pollard fresh for the 4th quarter. Some run plays with Turpin and Lamb and a few designed quarterback runs…

a YEAR????????????, he was one of the league leaders the first half of the season near 5.2 YPC, a huge reason we went on a 6-0 run..you forget that??,

the injury was mid-season and he stayed out there to help the team.. wasn't bad , just limited. Made many key blocks and gutted it out to help the TEAM. Maybe you do not understand since you block out all his good games which bTW in the same YEAR which would carry into this season, he also has had MANY 5 YPC games in tough yardage, grind them out dirty yards to end games that dropped his YPC THIS Season..

jts top the hate and nonsensical posts.." OVER a year of bad film" thats the hate flag flying type of statement, as it 100% untrue..

the coaches will decide who plays and how many snaps.. ill roll with that.
