At 8-0 looking at the schedule with the likes of T Tech Texas Baylor and I believe Iowa St running the table going 12-0 not at all unlikely . Gary Patterson never did this . Dykes in rookie yr in Ft Worth might have the Frogs in the big enchilada a BCS playoff berth possibly for all the marbles .

Man revived the Ponies across I/35 now he’s working some magic in Cowtown . Can they win a national championship ?

Patterson did go 13-0 in 2010 and TCU finished 2nd in the nation that season. It wasn't the Big 12, but the Big 12 has pretty much performed as a mid-major conference the past several seasons.

TCU has been insanely impressive. Teh improved play of Duggan has been off the charts from last year.

All that said there are ZERO free games in the Big 12. Getting to and then winning the Big 12 title game will be tough.
They had a dog fight with WVA who may finish in 9th or 10th.

Tech will bring in a rowdy crowd and make that game closer than it would appear is my guess.
Then 2 road games versus Texas and Baylor.

The B12 is a very real gauntlet. 9 division games versus legit comp, a 10th P5 opponent --TCU caught awful, awful Colorado this year and just 1 BYE.

Right but in 2010 like you said what was TCU’s schedule like ?

They beat the Wisconsin Badgers in the Rose Bowl that season with Andy Dalton.

Thanks for the comprehensive list that Mountain West schedule had so much sugar in it you need a root canal when done . And back in 2010 the SMU game wasn’t that the Phil Bennett days and those awful teams . No todays Dykes undefeated run a little tougher then then the New Mexico games back then .

The current Big XII is the equivalent of the Mountain West. Has been for a few years now. The conference has fallen.

A bit of a trap game for TCU this week.

Huge road game at Texas last week--which they won.
Now turn around and go on the ord again vs a conference rival at Baylor

It's fallen off at the top some, but come on, its WAY better than the Mountain West.
Come on now, that's harsh

Definitely harsh and a bit overstated, but not by much. The conference is definitely down. I've seen this show before. It was called the SWC. It was a power player and then deteriorated until it went away. Seeing the Big XII of whom I am a supporter, dwindle away as well.

I thought Patterson did a good job of building up the TCU program. Sustaining the level of success he had with that school is not an easy task. I'm not surprised Dykes has them doing well right now, but that is in part of what Patterson did for many years.

Loved the game today! I’m not understanding a lot of hate I see online like Twitter etc. They switch coaches, have no expectations and are on a fun ride! They may get killed but right now they are a thing!

12-0 baby who wants to try the Horned Frogs in BCS . As a 3 I would think they play Michigan first . See how that shakes out .

Beating Kansas State twice will be tough. I'm hoping they do because I want a Big 12 team in the playoffs, but I also want the Wildcats to win because I enjoy chaos.
