It's getting real.

The most important thing this team must learn is to elevate their play. The Cowboys have to be consistently better each week. that's what it's going to take.

I'm not even talking about the playoffs. There is a lot of inter-division business to take care of and every team in the NFC East is dangerous.

From this week forward, it's going to be about maximizing opportunity, not making mistakes, getting takeaways and defense, defense, defense.

The Eagles, Cowboys, and 49ers all have the right formula. Now it comes down to executing in December and January.

The amount of hand wringing going on around here lately is getting out of hand. The fact of the matter is we will have no idea if Dallas can beat these teams until it actually happens in January. The Eagles, SF, and Dallas are the class of the NFC and in my opinion share very similar winning formulas. I truly believe any game between these three is a toss up.

Who cares. Niners have played hot garbage the past 4 weeks. I know they played the Chargers but they always fold against good teams. They won't hold the Dolphins to 0 points in the 2nd half next week.

We would have not shut out the saints.. also if we only scored 13 on the saints we probably lose.. Their defense is ridiculous, and the way their offense is built is not good for us

One thing is for sure is that if we get to the NFC Championship game, you can bet we're gonna get red and gold again.

I know there's an "if" we get to the Championship Game or not, but if we do get there..... it's gonna be those guys visiting us again, or we're going to Santa Clara.

We need to prepare for this inevitability. Get Odell in here. If we get crushed by them again, it's on the guys here who are constantly like "forget Odell. Don't need him."
This team isn’t afraid of anyone. Only some fans are.

NFC is weak this year. Eagles, Vikings, 49ers, Cowboys. This could actually be the year Dallas makes it. Not because they’re special, but because the NFC is weak. I can see any of them except Minnesota making it. But I think the AFC is much better. Chiefs, Bills, Bengals, Dolphins, Ravens.

Chiefs yes. Every other team you mentioned is common and no better than us. Ravens hahahah, the team that the Jags just manhandled. The Bills have been exposed and their QB is one throw away from having TJ surgery. We already proved the Bengals are nothing to be feared. Dunno about the Dolphins yet, but ok.

Who the hell have the 49ers beat? They’ve beat the lowly Rams twice, Arizona, Seattle, New Orleans, and Carolina. The only halfway good team they beat was San Diego. They’ve lost to Denver, Chicago, and Atlanta, and KC. I mean wowwwwww, every team should be afraid to play the world beater 49ers.

Cray-cray.

Dallas lost to SF last year because they got dominated in the trenches and worked over by Shanahan's offensive schemes. That's what needs to change in a rematch. O'dell can't even catch his flights.

You can get away with a team running all over you if your offense shows up or if you cut down on penalties. Running the ball actually keeps the other team in the game.
Eagles ran for 350 and only won by 7 and probably would have won by less with similar yardage if not for the interceptions.

49ers defense is good but the Saints had two missed touchdowns that hit the hands of their receiers. Andy Dalton didn't play terrible yesterday.

There's no doubt Dallas has had more impressive wins than the 49ers this year. I wouldn't count those losses to Denver and Chicago tho, so early in the year, Garoppolo didn't even play in one of those, McCaffrey wasn't there for either games - and it was a close one point loss to Denver in an ultimate defensive slugfest. Just like I don't really count our losses to Tampa (so early) or Philadelphia (Cooper Rush).

But you also gotta take them seriously and not belittle them. They are definitely the most dangerous team we'll face from our conference. Their recent history suggests they're a team that always gets stronger late. Have made deep postseason runs in multiple years powered by their defense. Holding anyone to 0 points in the 2nd half for 4 straight games is definitely the mark of an elite team - I don't care who they played. Also they have a host of star power with McCaffrey, Samuel, Kittle, and Aiyuk. Pollard and Lamb have increased their profile this year, but they still have 0 Pro Bowl appearances to their names vs the host of Pro Bowlers of San Fran's. Their team is getting better which is the main thing, because that's more important than what they did in September or October.

Given recent history of postseason failure, we're naturally gonna be concerned about our ability to defeat the team that sent us home last year. But I do acknowledge that Dallas' defense has improved. The fact that we haven't allowed a first quarter Touchdown yet, it is quite possible that we could be a different team than last year. Hopefully this year our offensive line doesn't get dominated, don't commit 6 holding calls in one game, and can get some pressure on the Quarterback. But I think we should at least try to match the 49ers in offensive star power which is why I think getting Odell here definitely helps - and anyone who says otherwise truly needs to brush up on their knowledge of the game.

Spare me the greatness of the 49ers defense. I watched the Chiefs hang 44 points and 500 yards on them. I also saw the Falcons beat them while hanging 170 rushing yards on them. They've fattened up on some weak sisters. The only teams with a winning record they've beaten all season has been the Chargers and Seahawks. They got the Dolphins this week and what's likely to be a desperation mode Bucs team the week after followed by a visit to Seattle and then that Washington defense coming to their place. Money says the narrative on them will be quite different a month from now.

I fell much better about our OL this year. It will be the main difference.

Indeed.. if they get Tyron back even at anything above 80% this line will be the best in the league. It would not bother me at all to see them put both McGovern and the young buck on the bench and try out the Tyron(LT)/Peters (LG) combo on the left side. I need to see that line up for at least a half. I have a feeling that pairing will road grade fools.

He’s better than you may think.

Been to a SB and had the lead.

Lead his team to the title game last year.

That’s pretty good if you ask me.

didn't lead anything lol. his numbers in playoff games they've won are abysmal lol.

I would not take Tyler out.
