Brugler mock 1.0 11/30/22

I’ve read that too. And in several places. I just don’t see it. His numbers aren’t impressive, he’s not winning games for them, not like he’s a dual threat…what am I missing?
I also don’t understand how anyone is putting CJ Stroud anywhere lower than second or third best player in this draft. I can understand people liking Bryce Young more because he’s fantastic too but not only are CJs numbers utterly ridiculous but the videos of him doing QB challenges are unlike any I’ve seen. His arm strength and accuracy are amazing.
Kiper feels his comp is Matthew Stafford. Stafford in the right system with the right pieces can be effective. But I do agree he looks to be strictly a pocket passer.

Not to be snarky but I trust my own eyes more than Kipers.

If Young were three inches taller, no question he’d be #1, but I think he’s going to end up being a shade over 5’10” which would get me a bit anxious that high.

I love this pick. We need a physical corner who can cover and tackle opposite Diggs

If Young was 6’5 - 220 he’d be Andrew Luck.

Unfortunately size matters a LOT at the position. You can count the amount of dudes on one hand that have made it that are his size in the NFL.

That would be a great pick. So would Trenton Simpson, Nolan Smith, or Antonio Johnson.

I think TE is the only position that may be in play other than CB in round 1. And considering how much we like 2nd round TE’s…I think CB is almost a lock.

I really don’t see how TE would be in play.

I think the Cowboys would be perfectly content heading into 2023 with Fergy, Hendershot, and McKeon at the position.

Only way I see a TE is if we are picking in the late 20s and Mayer falls to us. Might be a case of just too good to pass up. Even then, it would depend who else is on the board.

Mayer is a much better prospect than any of them. If he slips into the 20s where they will likely draft, I would be very surprised if he isn't the highest ranked player left on their board. I would 100% be in favor of drafting him at that point.

As much as our QB / system love throwing to the TE it’s be hard to pass. Especially considering it’s a terrible WR class.

I think folks are getting confused with what I think about the player and what I think the Cowboys will do.

I think Meyer is a stud.

Whether right or wrong, I think the Cowboys will see themselves as already stacked at the TE position.

Loaded TE lets get one and not pay Schultz to be a safety valve.

Not saying how I personally feel about Levis one way or another because like most he will need the right coach and system. However Kiper is apparently not a lone voice in the wilderness on Levis.

yep been seeing it elsewhere too, still don’t get it…

I think part of the Levis buzz is he has significantly less talent around him than Stroud and Young. Houston could very well put him in the mix.
