Well, I took a lot of grief over the last week, when everyone else was saying even a Gardner Minshew led Eagles would destroy us.

I stood firm, and insisted that if you took their MVP 1st team AllPro QB out, and replaced him with the 50th best QB in the league, that we could ABSOLUTELY FREAKING stand toe to toe with them, and had a chance to beat them.

Granted, when they went up by 10, I was getting nervous, and certainly knowing it took a miracle 3rd and 30 completion to keep from losing again doesn't feel great,... but I DO feel vindicated, that if they have to substitute the best player in the league out for a journeyman backup QB, that we can definitely beat them...and I'd go so far as to say that if we played the Minshew Eagles 10 times, we very well might win 5 times.

You were not alone. I said the Cowboys would win this game while everybody was unloading their liver in the post game thread after the Jaguars game.

They would have won it with or without Hurts.

There aren’t 32 better QB’s in the nfl
I’m betting the jets wished they had him and their picks back lol

Minshew is one of the best backups in the league. He played very well.

This was a great win vs a very good offense and a very good defense!!

Way to go Cowboys!!

Same here. I said it wouldn't be close. Also, I didn't expect to spot them 10
right out the gate. An added bonus with Hurts out was Sanders suddenly
forgot how to hold onto the ball. It was a two for one deal.
