Was Kellen Moore questioned about the failed trick play?

I haven't seen anything on twitter or on the team website.

I'd love to know why he felt the need to try a ridiculous play like that so early in the game. To me, it was pretty obvious something was up when Turpin comes into the game for the first time and you go to an empty set. The CB/S smartly stayed home at the LOS AND the DBs were in position deep to defend the pass if Dak had time to get the ball off. I just don't understand why Moore tries these things when nothing has been established yet to make the defense bite.

I would rather do something like that early in the game just to put Philly on notice to not over pursue. Much like the deep ball which is not overly high percentage it is still effective in letting defense know you play shallow we will attack deep.

If Tyler Smith doesn't play it like a complete boob we hit CeeDee for a big gainer.

I'm a Dak fan but he should just throw that one out of bounds. Not take the sack.

It looked like both CBs stayed deep and did not bite on the action. I did not see CD open, but I could be mistaken.

I like it

too cute, sure but it was open needed one extra second and that huge play, gives opponents something to think about. We won, thats why most wouldn't question it and yet HERE YOU ARE

stop nitpicking plays in a win..its not becoming. tired of it really.. its over thursday coming fast.. talk Titans.

When you watch the breakdown of the play it was a missed block by Smith that led to a sack. The WR was wide open for a big gain. It was a good play design.

That's why I wanted the question to be asked. I don't think Smith was expecting a DB to be there and went looking for the DE/LB to wall him off.

There should be an unlike function for posts like this.

Are you talking about the flea flicker? It would have went for 20 yards if Tylor Smith blocked his guy…

It was ridiculous because it failed, but Gallup was wide open. The defender made a great play. Had dak had just a tad more time, that was a td.

Not really sure,.... I am not totally against trying gadget plays but not just randomly. They blow up that way. Usually you try to set up the defense first. Another sign that KM has no feel for the game. Just like calling plays out of a hat.

it didn't work. but I like doing a couple of them each game, perhaps different ones, it keeps the defense on their toes having to account for a trick play......

As well as future defenses.

Good coaching will establish some tendencies throughout the season which they can try and exploit down the road.
