Twitter: Hurts listed as questionable. Limited in practice all week

Like I said in the other threads. Him having limited practice all week and still being listed as questionable, most likely means that the Eagles are having to bring him back to play sooner than they would have otherwise if they clinched against the Cowboys or Saints. And also it could come down to a game time decision. It's one thing for Hurts to throw in practice and another for him to have to play 4 quarters while getting hit. He's still going to have to risk taking some hits if he plans to go against the Giants with his usual style of play or if the Eagles OL can't protect him with Lane Johnson being out.

Regardless of who plays for the Giants, that shoulder is definitely about to take a beating. Even if we don’t end up winning the division, we’re indirectly increasing the war of attrition

While all of the talk is about how the Cowboys missed opportunities to beat the Packers and Jaguars. The Eagles themselves missed equal opportunities against the 2nd Cowboys match up and against the Saints and now is feeling pressured into having Jalen Hurts play. When they no doubt would have rested him if they had won one of their last two games.

He’s clearly not ready to play, but they have a lot riding on this game. They’re 0-2 with Minshew. They’ll be looking at a one and done riding a three game losing streak into the playoffs.

Read a tweet from LVE saying something similar. As he put it, if his shoulder isn't completely healed, it'll change the way he plays......will he run as much, will he worry about get sack/hit, and make decisions a little faster than he would like. He also pointed out, like you, practice is one thing, the live game is a different monster.

My guess is they would love to establish a nice lead by the half and rest him.

I’m sure that would be the ideal situation but it takes a lot of points to put a game away in the NFL. They would like to be able to pull him by the fourth quarter.

At this point the 5 seems better than 2. You get Tampa as opposed to Green Bay. New York will beat Minnesota so you avoid Philly until the championship

10000% he is playing and the Iggles will try to pap a lead at the half to pull him...pretty simple formula

Not only that, but CJ Gardner Johnson (league leader in INTs despite being out last 5 games) is returning.

Hurts may be resting mid way thru 2nd quarter

Look for him too play, but they will do their best to go heavy-run and short immediate throws to not force him too much.
