Amari Cooper almost had an identical season with Jacoby Brissett as he did with Dak in 2019, his best year with Cowboys, and much better than he did with Dak last year. So was Dak or Cooper the problem? So many questions. Is there a big difference between Dak and Brissett?

Lamb this year produced more than any year Cooper has in his career so what is your point?

That we are pathetic at every other WR position, ESPECIALLY the #2 which is very important.
Now who would be the #1 might be open to question between Lamb and Cooper but we certainly would have been better off this year with Cooper at the WR position
Watching Gallup, Noah Brown and company this year was PATHETIC

It has nothing to do with WR2. The OP was obviously taking a shot at Dak by showing Cooper produced with the Browns. I think Cooper is a really good WR and would expect him to produce with any QB which he PROVED in Dallas. If the OP actually knows his history then this post would not have been created. 2020 Cooper 1100+ yards with 4 different QBs when Dak got hurt. 2019 Cooper had 1100+ yards with Dak as his QB. Cooper's best season with the Raiders was 1100+ yards. And now with the Browns he had 1100+ yards. Seeing a pattern here?

He is a very good WR. Which we dumped and now deeply regret
THAT is the point

Maybe THAT is YOUR point. Obviously it was NOT the OP's point or this would not have been asked.

"So was Dak or Cooper the problem?"

Gallup finished in the 400 plus yard territory 4 TD’s 2022 . Here’s hoping better things start in Florida Monday night for 13.

I thought it was obvious I was taking a shot at Dak. I know Cooper's history and thats why I was taking a shot at Dak. If Dak was a better QB then Cooper would still be here. Jerry couldnt justify paying Cooper $20M for his declining performance with Dak. There were also rumors Dak and Cooper weren't getting along. Jerry chose Dak. So yes, I was taking a shot at Dak. He is main reason this team is limited.

It was obvious. Someone else made it about WR2.

because that was what matters except to idiots.
Now how much Dak had to do with Cooper leaving we probably will never know. But then Cooper was not someone to say yes masta no masta and that in the en probably meant he was going to go no matter what. He did not worship at the altar of Jethro and that doomed him in the end

You guys post the stupidest things. ALL The time.
It's seriously non-stop stupidity.

Amari Cooper was what he is again this year.
He had 5 games over 100 yards receiving than 6 under 50.
He was back up to 130 targets and put up solid but far from elite stats.

And his stats were essentially the same between Jacoby Brisset and DeShawn Watson.

He had the most nothing to write about year ever
He played 17 games and was very solid overall but again disappeared many weeks as the far and away WR1.

For all that his cap hit each of the next 2 years is 23.7M dollars and he takes a dead cap hit 7.5M IF he plays those 2 years and gets paid the full 47.5M.

The Browns ended up with double digit losses and had a far worse passing offense than Dallas.

Just let the dude go and collect his money as Dallas did.

Again another almost deliberately stupid take.
Amari never said a peep until Dallas didn't extend him post 2020.
He and everyone with a pulse knew he was getting traded or released after 2021.
So he took care of his body by skipping practices and making other business decisions.
It wasn't terrible of him tbh but it certainly helped make him a scapegoat when he looked awful and useless against San Fran unable to get lined up quickly at the end of the game because he was gassed.

this was all about money folks. We needed it and he didn’t warrant it.
Everyone watched that SF game and knew this team was going to shift money into being more robust up front.
Amari trade freed up 16M this year, AND 22 mil each of the next two
He is a good player but would have been a luxury they simply couldn't afford.

Dallas has to pay Micah, Trevon, CeeDee and Steele.

Going to be more change this upcoming off-season.
