Kellen Moore: Pollard is a complete back

Still prefer Elliott as a blocker. On the play shown, Pollard effectively slowed David down, but if Dak had had to hold the ball a couple of ticks, David would have gotten pressure because he was still on his feet while Pollard wasn't.

Not saying all of Elliott's blocks are perfect. He's whiffed at times or used the same cut technique that Pollard used. And what Pollard may lack as a blocker, he makes up for with greater ability as a running back.

Oh, all the usuals are still vocal. A little more sheepish lately but they still post their feelings rather than facts about Zeke.
It is sad that he is not the back he once was.
He has given us a lot of fond memories.
He has taken a lot of hits over the years and I think it's finally wore him down.
He is still good in short yardage, so I am hopeful we can keep him next year on a greatly reduced salary.
Pollard is now the man and should get the bulk of the carries.

I love Zeke and everything he's done for this team since day 1. It would suck to see him go, but sucks even more is watching him be a shell of his former self. With a price tag that he currently carries, there is no way he is on this team after June 1st unless there is a mega restructure.

..TP style of play works complimentary how Dallas O operates.

Throw in the dudes around him, camaraderie, coaches. That also has instilled what he is today.

I think TP gets inked in next year. Zeke will also take a pay cut, to stay.

Why would it suck to see him go? What has he dont for this team?

I dont know, fan favorite? I already stated he's a shell of his former self. Sorry that you don't feel attached to players that put in good work for the team throughout their tenure.

They better tag him in the offseason then.
I simply cannot see it any differently. (Franchise tag)
He's become a Core piece player here now.
And players the Jones really want to keep and re-sign - they manage to find ways to keep them.

Tag him at 12 million come march, and make a long term deal by July- August.

Imo, there's only an handful of starting backs that equal his sustained burst and homerun capability (McCaffrey, Barkley, Chubb, Henry, Taylor, Etienne and Kamara)

When you stubble upon a Kamara, Chubb or Taylor , without investing first round picks ,you keep them and lock them up long term.
