In the next draft, we need to draft to running backs, and bring in number of free agents and find ourselves two new backs. No one knows if Pollard will ever be the same, and we need to cut Zeke and look for a true fullback.

Lol, it’s a fibula. It’s about as relevant to next year as a hangnail would be!

The leg healing is less a concern than paying him top five money when the cupboard is bare.
Lol! Ain’t no one paying him top 5 money. At worst he’ll get franchised. Cupboard is far from being bare, Zeke and Lewis will be released, Gallup restructured and chances are fair to good Dak will be extended!

You realize franchise is the average of the top five salaries. So it's a top five salary.

Go get Sanders. He probably will command 3-5 million a year vs 20, and get better production.

I let TP walk and draft a rb in 3/4 round that is more of a bruiser rb to replapce Elliot.

Yeah I'm not worried about his injury at all unless we get additional information. It's a bone fracture and as long as it's a clean fracture and didn't have any soft tissue damage it's extremely likely we see a 100% recovery by summer.

I still think using a mid round pick on a RB is a good idea though if one is available you like. I think the Cowboys move on from Zeke, Franchise Pollard. Pollard, Davis, Rookie feels like a good plan and if Davis/rookie end up playing well it gives you flexibility to move on from Pollard in 2024 if you don't want to lock him up long term.

Another of your anti-Dak posts ;). Thought both lines held up against good opposition.
I don't think we did. I think overall they were more physical than we were. they got 113 rushing yards, just 25 yards less than season average. they got 214 yards passing, just 12 yards less than season average. they pretty much held to close to their offensive numbers. on the other hand, our passing was about the same, but rushing we averaged 135 during the season and we got 76 yards last night. we didn't get any push up front and their front 4 was effective in rushing the passer and they could drop more defenders into coverage taking away the middle of the field and the short and medium passing routes, limiting shultz or 5 catches and 27 yards. Only CD had success on deeper passes and some swing passes and averaged over 11 yards...

A lot of words, but no actual point to support your opinion that the lines were overmatched.

Yes, because the elite teams are out there dedicating consistent resources to drafting running backs...

The Cowboys need a GM who makes shrewd personnel decisions based on talent and value instead of their heart and "liking" a guy. Then they need coaches and coordinators who build a scheme and playbook around the talent instead of forcing talent into a scheme that relies absolutely on their ability to win one-on-one matchups.

In other words, don't hold your breath because all of that is predicated on the Joneses swallowing their egos and running the Cowboys like a professional sports franchise as opposed to a soap box cash cow.

It's gonna require surgery....which means screws and a plate. If it a clean break it would not require surgery. At least 3 months rehab. That puts us into May....right around draft time. It'll be hard to evaluate him, especially with no contract.

Lol! You realize it’s for one year right and thus doesn’t come with a signing bonus and lasting dead money. But hey, you want to pretend you’re smarter than what really you are… then enjoy!

No. They need to draft 1 back but Davis can be used if you give him practice reps and actually game plan to use him and there are plenty of cheap veterans available to fill a role. Heck there's enough to not use a pick unless the right back is available.
