The last play

Lol! Yeah because refs are going to throw an interference flag on a last second Hail Mary from the 20! What land of multi colored unicorns swimming in fairy dust do you hail from?
lol you have a better shot at that than an 80 yard play that went for 6.

When they lined up, I thought what in the hell is going on? But you're right, intrigued. Then confused followed by embarrassed.
A quick pass for 10 in hopes at a shot at a realistic Hail Mary.
There's nothing else that would remotely be a chance.
You need 30 yards at that point so it’s not like he had to heave it 90 yards downfield.

I thought the concept was interesting...

You put a few linemen out wide to set up blocking almost like a kick return and you put a few speedy skill guys behind them with another running back on the field to run and lateral.

However, the players looked to have given up and the play ended quickly.
Yeah, I do believe it was a hook and ladder type of play. Zeke just got plowed over, Dak panicked, and threw it way too short.

I don't care about the play honestly. At least they tried something unconventional, it just didn't work. Dak couldn't even throw 10 yards to get us a 1st down most of that half, anybody really think he was going to chuck it up 70 yards for a miracle Hail Mary? lol If I was the OC I would have reached in my bag of tricks bag too.

That looked like something the entire group put together Kellen McCarthy Jerry, Lord knows who else:laugh:

A good coach would have done a better job managing the clock, getting a short 10 yards and then tossing a Hail Mary from a very reasonable distance.
But yeah, Dak's fault that a play that has never worked was attempted. I mean, you guys are blaming Dak for the garbage throw, but didn't realize no one was in front of him blocking?
How the hell could it even have worked?

Did this work on the Cowboys D in practice? This isn’t something you just unveil. They actually worked on this and thought it was a good idea. That’s the sad part.

Lol....I agree. We should have replaced the lineman with cb , wr etc. More speed and shiftiness for the hook and lateral.

I was thinking maybe the wanted to work the pitch game. But I'm not sure Dak went to the right spot. Still not sure why Zeke snap the ball either. I would've just went with a Hail Mary and a couple of backwards passes.

Zeke wanted to remembered for his one last play as a Cowboy

Check it out and tell me how Dak didn't have time to get that ball out quicker to Turpin. He even had time to lob one up to the open area behind Turpin to give Lamb a chance.

See for yourself. Play is at 2:50

Yeah ok. Nothing would have changed. He would have still gotten tackled. It is interesting how it's one guys fault, but Schultz is off the hook for his end of game miracle.

the best part of that video was the look of fear and panic on dak's face, you only had to look at that to see the game was over.

In those situations why not run a screen with plenty of blockers is beyond me.

Eh, it's all water under the bridge at this point anyway. Speaking of water, the team was dead in the water. Short of some insane miracle, no play call was going to win that game.

Not after the Schultz brain fart on the sideline. Or the near pick 6.
