Anxious at New Coaches

By letting Philbin/Peete walk, it suggests fixing their run game could be their priority. Also, there is little to no chance, they head into next season also without adding another high-end receiver. MM has a wealth of play calling experience, along with being a former QB coach. It appears Jerry forced Moore on him and he didn't want a power struggle. That OL coach from Carolina is probably the favorite the land the job, whomever they hire for the OC will not become the play caller. What would be the biggest shocker to me, is they hire an outside OC to run the offense.

Who they hire will be very interesting.

McCarthy's long time OL coach that was with Carolina in 2022 or somebody not connected to McCarthy.

RB coach?

Quinn guys on D or other?
Just depends on the D. A lot of those guys were the assistants of the position coaches. Don’t think we will see those replaced. Leon for instance was an assistant of Durde. I thought Edwards was the LB’s coach but he was an assistant type deal as well apparently.

The offense is where I’m most enthralled by.

I actually think it’s going to be Mike myself as well.

I only want one thing. One. Not kidding.

Can we get an offense where the opponent doesn’t repeatedly tell the media how predictable it is, and how they knew what was coming?

It’s beyond shameful how many very good to great players were wasted with awful coaching and scheme.

Agree on the defensive coaches.

Edwards: Senior defensive assistant

OL and RB are critical.

The run blocking scheme just didn't create any advantageous matchups. It was just the " beat your man" approach and if 1 OL or TE failed, then the whole play failed.

A promotion in rank for Durde?

Is Callahan still under contract because I'd gladly give him KMs job. Come on Jerry break out the wallet, money cures a lot of hard feelings.

Yep. I don’t care what Mike said yesterday in his PC but this is the JG offense with a few more wrinkles added in. The scheme is the exact same that he learned from JG and Linny.

The pass scheme yes but the run scheme is not what they ran in 2014 or 2016.

It will be interesting to see what schemes they do bring in, and how that makes the situation different for Dak.

I don't think this situation was the best use of Dak's talent nor protected him from his weakness.

Hopefully the next ones up are really thinking about this and forming an offensive scheme that uses all the players around Dak to bring the best out of him.

To me it is clear you can win with this guy. It just may not be the wisest strategy to expect him to carry the team on his shoulders game in and game out.

As an aside, is it me or had Dak's foot speed dropped?

In 2016 Linny was the guy and he actually changed it up quite a bit to help the rookie QB. It worked. That’s what they have to do again offensively. (With a strong RB of course). Dak’s rookie season was his best passer rating of his career.

..anxious, but exciting. DQ remaining, is huge deal.

Almost certain, we're back in post season this year.

I'll be more excited, when they let KM go. Sucks to say that, but we need new spells.

As for other coaches. We trust, they'll get some that will add.

How about this for a idea.. Bring in Eric Bieniemy.. Offer him Assistant Head Coach/ OC job and a whole bunch of cash..

I’d let Quinn hire his guys myself
I’d let McCarthy hire the offensive side
It’s gonna be interesting if jerry lets that happen. I love former HC on a staff when possible too

i wonder if edgar bennett will be considered for rb's coach.
he was on mccarthy's staff in green bay.
currently wr's coach for the raiders.
in green bay he served as rb coach...then wr coach...then got promoted to o.c.

todd mcnair,tampa bay.
scootie montgomery,colts.
both available...wonder if they'll get consideration for rb coach.
montgomery might end up on reich's staff in carolina.

They won 13 games.
