Huge props to Cousins and esp. Jefferson (Thielen is old now). They totally carried that team to a 13-4 record. The train-wreck defense and mediocre o-line wasn't playoff worthy.

Wherever Dak is ranked I rank cousins right behind, and I think they both fall in that 9-12 range. I said in another thread those qbs ranked there are interchangeable, they need a lot of help around them, our FO has shown they will not use fa to their advantage so there is no point in sticking with a QB in that range

I think that's a little generous ranking for Dak. Dak is hard to rank. One week he can play like a top 5 QB, ala beating the Bucs. Other weeks he can play like a bottom 5 QB, ala against Washington and 49ers. Why I rank Dak much lower than 9-12 is because of the maddening inconsistency of his play. From game to game you have no idea what you're going to get. Well even pass to pass you have no clue what you're getting. Dak played like trash against the Texans and then flipped a switch and made one good drive to win it.

Based on inconsistencies I'd rank him 20-15. Because when he is bad, he's really, really bad. Then out of nowhere he plays like an all pro. Kirk on the other hand is consistently average to good. With Kirk you know what you're getting, which for me makes him a better QB. JMO

Anyone with a couple firing brain cells will tell you looking at stats at face value is what "trolls" or diehards do. Stats are meaningless without deeper context.

I have said numerous times we can win with Dak but he's going to be the sole purpose. He needs to be surronded by tons of talent.

And if you want to be specific to the 49ers game. Dak was indeed atrocious.

As others have pointed out bar a few elite players such as Jefferson, Dak has had the superior teams overall from the OL, RB, defense. Vikings roll out trash tier defenses and his OL has been suspect for years. They did however make great improvements to the OL this year compared to the previous years.

Hopefully a light bulb clicks soon.
