Drafting 26th who you got

Michael Mayer. Will need a Dalton Schultz replacement - stud rookie TE + Ferguson will be a good combination.

Where is all of this Rashee Rice love coming from? I don’t think you could justify him being a top 5 WR in this class and there are another handful of guys you could rather easily make the argument over him as well. I’ll surprised if Rice goes too 50, let alone 25 where we pick
There are a few WR's I would personally take ahead of Rice. Addison, Hyatt, and maybe Q. Johnston. I like that they have speed to take the top off the D. and they aren't solely Slot WR's; Addison is probably best in the slot though. The problem with these guys, none will make it to 26. The Cowboys will not draft a receiver that can't play multiple spots. Players like Downs, JSN, Tank Dell, P. Washington, and even Flowers are most likely slot only at this level.

They are going to play Lamb in the slot about 60 percent of the time, that is where he is best and they need a wideouts that can play outside and then occasionally come inside when they scheme Lamb outside or he is off the field. Last year they drafted Tolbert, he can play inside or out. If they were smart they would have picked Kalil Shakir instead. Tolbert better fit the scheme. The better player isn't always the one picked, not with this front office. Example number 1 of all examples, would be picking Taco Charlton over TJ Watt. Every single scout in that draft room would had been clamoring for Watt. The coaches and scheme dictated that Taco was the fit for the organization.

Rashee did measure a little shorter than expected at the senior bowl. He still has speed and he is probably the most flexible wideout in terms of the way you can use him in this draft. He has good long speed and great short area quickness, an above average wingspan and is physical after the catch. He is a very capable blocker. He doesn't have the biggest route tree but you can say that about most of these receivers; blame that on the air raid fad in college football. If you don't want a wideout in the first look at WR's like Hutchinson, Mingo, Wicks, Hazelwood, Puka Nacua or Z. Franklin.

In most cases, when I list a pick on this forum. I don't pick players that are my favorites or players I think would make the team better. I list the players that recent history shows the Cowboys are more likely to pick.

If I had to pick a player and it was my choice, it would be
1. Joey Porter Jr.
2. Isaiah Foskey
3. Siaki Ika
In that order.

I agree with you.

Reminds me of Courtland Suttons rise to the 1st
He will tear it up at the Senior Bowl and run a better that expected 40 at the combine. People are already picking him in the first in mocks. When the draft finally rolls around I fully expect him to have a first round grade by most experts metrics.

Yea when I watched him at first nothing stood out but looking closer, he seems to have a little something. Much more on his tape than Tolberts
Don’t get me wrong, I like Rice. He looks to be a good prospect. But just good, nothing special warranting a top 25 pick. In the 2nd round? Yeah count me in.

I was anxious to see how he did at the Sr Bowl but early reports indicate he’s struggled getting off press / LOS. He also came in at 6’0 as opposed to 6’3 which he was listed at.

Yeah, someone needs to smack the crack head at SMU, who don't know how to use a measuring tape. What are they trying to pull with that crap?

Like I said, Rice is a good prospect, but I just don’t see 1st round pick. I don’t pay too much attention to mocks this early, but are people even projecting him there? I see Brugler has Rice as the #6 WR prospect, but I don’t see him ranked much higher in any sites I’ve looked at.

Just my gut, but I also don’t think that many WR’s will go in the 1st round.. Any more than 4 would surprise me, there just isn’t a lot of high level “wow” talent to this class.

And Hutchinson is 1 of my favorite WR’s in this class relative to where they will probably get drafted. He will be a good pick if he gets to the 3rd round. Don’t know if he has any 1 skill that will make him a pro-bowl level talent, but he definitely checks all the boxes of a good #3 WR. Actually reminds me of Tyler Boyd a good bit.

He’s not. I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s available for our 2nd round pick.

Sutton was a better prospect.

I have seen two mocks that had him to the Cowboys, most of them have the Giants taking Rashee or Njigba. He isn't mocked a lot in the first round.

Look at what happened with Tyler Smith last year, most people had him as a 40-60 ranked prospect but he went in the first.

The only thing I'm not sure of with Xavier is his speed. I want to see how he does in the draft process and If he can run a 4.5 or better I would be down with taking him with the Cowboys pick in the second round. Everything else is solid to good with him.

Hey, sign me up for him in the 2nd, I will take another Trevon Diggs like drop to our pick. Music to my ears.

LB Drew Sanders
With LVE, Barr and Gifford as free agents there is a potential need at the position.
Sanders would fit in nicely with Parsons, Clark, Cox and Harper.

I don't see us taking a WR in the first round...I think the Cowboys are looking for a veteran to come in and get the ball rolling right away. Really can't afford to wait a year or two for a rookie to establish himself . Maybe they draft a WR in the middle rounds, someone to push Tolbert...Marvin Mims?

As for CB in the first...with the position being so deep I think they'll wait a round or two before they address the position. If Bland hadn't had the season he did then I think CB would be a bigger concern. With Lewis coming back, Wright seemingly taking a step in the right direction, Mukuamu showing he can play and Joseph still keeping Jerry's hopes high I think the coaches feel more comfortable than the fans do.

Normally, I would never suggest taking a running back in the first round. However, since Zeke needs to be released and we have no idea what will happen with Pollard. The run game is in serious doubt. So if there is a stud running back sitting at 26 and all the other players are reaches, take the RB. However, in doing so, you must accept we only have that running back for 4-5 years. No second contracts for workhorse running backs. I only advocate this for two reasons. One being that it is a very late 1st round pick and the fact that the position has been mismanaged up to this point. Zeke has to go. Pollard is damaged goods and a free agent. Taking a stud running back will have the most impact on the offense in his first year.

Drew Sanders, Arkansas. Sean Lee Part Dos, but with more meanness.

There are enough RBs in this draft to take BPA first round.

Addison is a nice player, but I'd rather have Flowers, although he likely won't make it to us.

Josh Downs and Jalin Hyatt would also fit, as far as WRs. One thing is for sure, we need more WRs.

I'm a big fan of Jalen Cropper in the later rounds, if we choose to wait.
I flop all over the place, lol. There's a lot of guys to watch.
