Jerry at Senior Bowl likes Duggan at QB

So we are back to Jerry in his ball cap playing scout at the Senior Bowl?

Another thing I thought was over but isn’t.

Is he deliberately trying to embarrass us??
Why does this upset you and others? A good owner wants to know everything that is going on within his company.
Doesn't mean he is selecting him. Why can't he make a comment about a player?

Jerry lacks the bowling balls to do it but trade up in the 2nd round to an earlier pick and grab Stanford QB Tanner McKee (6' 6" 230 pounds with a cannon arm) or the early 3rd round and grab Tennessee QB Hendon Hooker (6' 4" 220 pounds with a solid arm and very accurate passer).
Maybe this time he will.

Why is Jerry the only GM or Owner in the NFL constantly running his mouth? It would be refreshing, if nothing else, to hear silence from the Star.
He is the only one the media shows, because they know how it irritates some fans. :muttley:
Then it creates a 100 page thread on here about it. :lmao:

Off-season entertainment.

I believe the Cowboys scouts guaranteed Duggan that they would either draft him or sign him if he goes undrafted and that's why he declared. But I'm more of a Clayton Tune fan!

I think the fanbase is just frustrated and looking for easy targets. I get both sides of it, but I do believe it's misconstrued. The media asks Jerry a question, he answers it, and then it gets taken out of context. It's not like Jerry flags down a reporter and tells them "Hey, check out what I'm thinking!"

Other GMs talk to the media at the Senior Bowl too, it just doesn't land here because, well, it's a Cowboys forum.

This is what one GM said at the Senior Bowl yesterday.

"The good thing is this is Senior Bowl. There's a lot of good players down here. It's a good opportunity to see players compete against others – good-on-good. The team periods are hard when you're watching live. You've just got to focus in on a couple of guys during the day that you're interested in and get a good feel for them."

Notice the difference. No player named.

No matter what Jerry does and thinks provides the same results over 28 years. Dallas will never win another SB under his guidance.
Or his Son, or anyone else from his God forsaken blood line

It's completely normal for a GM to tell the media what they're thinking.
You know what makes people sick. When Jerry brags about a player that he drafts like Jalen Tolbert. Jerry made the guy out to be a pro bowler.Didnt Dak go and work out with him in the offseason? Big show, no go.

Apparently, Brock Purdy didn’t have a starters skill set but could make a solid backup (plagiarized from Walter football). Have the Cowboys changed their template for QB after Purdy’s showing?

That has nothing to do with it, it was a general statement. Maybe they did not have a specific player or position they were looking at, at that time.

An 80 year old man with a stopwatch around his neck?

I’m personally embarrassed.

There a reason people no longer work at that age, no matter who you are.

Hooker seems like a Jerry Jones special

jerry wouldn't know a good qb if he hit him with the football and all his little gremblins just nod in agreement because they like there little high paying cushy jobs

Tanner McKee is very intriguing. I think he can make it to us in the 3rd or 4th rounds but qbs go early so who knows. I do like what I read about him but I think he is only a Jr and maybe should go back to gain more experience

Max Duggan, QB, TCU

Duggan had a remarkable season at TCU; we all know that. He launched on-target long balls all season and was arguably the toughest quarterback in college football in the open field or even in the pocket. Took plenty of hits and continued to get up. He won't necessarily be able to show off his trademark ruggedness at the Senior Bowl, and at 6-foot-1 and 204 pounds, the TCU icon doesn't have the body typically thought to handle that type of beating in the NFL.

I think holding your cards close it your vest is what most GM's would say when asked about players they might be interested in. Loose Lips Sink Ships
