Which would you prefer?

I believe this roster needs newer, younger talent

I would rather draft Bijan than re-sign pollard

We have other needs than a RB as a top draft pick, mid-round at best

How much sense does it actually make to cut Zeke? I realize he is not living up to his contract but cutting him is a $12 million cap hit.

Is it better to let Pollard walk, get the comp pick for him, draft a running back, and hope one more of Zeke in a new offense revives him?

I’d hate to give Pollard big money and still have to pay Zeke not to play.

A smart organization would cut both imo

I am on board with rebuilding the rb room. Bijan would be great but I just don't think he gets anywhere near us.

I'd be happy with Bijan at 26, but he won't be there. I'd rather franchise Pollard and draft someone like Charbonet/Bigsby/Achane in the 3rd or Spears/McBride in the 4th. So many talented RBs in this class and 10M is worth it for another year of Pollard assuming he'll be good to go coming off the injury. Honestly if you get one of those first 3 you're probably fine without Pollard. I'd rather get OL/DL/CB in the first round of this draft.

If you make Zeke a post June 1st cut he saves 10 million on the cap that you can use to sign Trevon Diggs.
Fair point. I wonder if we have already seen the best of Diggs. I would be willing to let him walk, to be honest.

Neither…

Get cheap at the position and spend money elsewhere:

Good point, I dont think they want to just cut Zeke outright.............I think he comes back with a pay cut.

The fact that Stephen said they wanted Zeke back "at the right number" kinda telegraphed what they are planning.

Now if Zeke refuses to take a pay cut, then he will be released but if reports are true, Zeke has said he is open to a pay cut.

For me I don’t hesitate Robinson is a game changer. On a rookie contract? I don’t think I want to give running backs second contracts anymore

The issue is, there’s no guarantee that Bijan is there. If the Giants let Barkley walk, they very well could take him one pick before us.

Best case would be

- Cut Zeke, gain tons of cap
- Transition Pollard and get a pick
- Draft Bijan
- Sign bridge veteran D’onta Freeman / Rashaad Penny (familiar with Solari) Neither cost you more than $2-3 million.
- Groom Davis as the future backup

Worst case
- Pollard walks
- Restructure Zeke
- Bijan goes 25
- Forced to start Zeke / low draft pick

If Robinson is available at 26, you take him. My pick would be Robinson, the center from Minnesota, or the linebacker from Arkansas.
