Micah got hobbled with some injuries and his sack production really dropped off at the end of the season, that is what probably costed him the trophy.

No shame in being runner up to Bosa, that dude was just a monster this year.

IMO i felt Chris Jones earned 1st, the amount of damage he caused as a NT is insane

He had a great year, with that said he didn't have the year that we all expected him to have. Once again the NFL is a copy-cat league and each team they face defensed him pretty much the same way and every time he went up against a team's stud he struggled to get at the QB. To further his career Quinn is going to have to find another edge rusher to take Parsons spot, at that point Parsons can be moved to a position that is more suitable for his body frame and that's a LBer spot. This will able Parsons to grow into a killer LBer who can stop the run, drop into coverage or blitz when Quinn calls for it.

While Micah struggled somewhat late in the year we played several teams that were getting the ball out very quick and doubling him.The injuries to guys like lve really hurt cause if teams wanted to take Micah out of the game they had a better chance. Bosa had better players around him and down the stretch it helped him more imo.

That being said there were times when guy were getting the ball out in 2 seconds and he was still almost getting there.

First team all pro.. back to back runner up dpoy first two years in the league? That’s incredible.

But Micah recovered well from late season sluggishness and balled out in both playoff games. Guy was all over the place

Also keep in mind our secondary was hurt bad late in the season due to injuries and that hurts the pass rush.
Dude was still getting tons of pressures and even causing a ton of false starts cause the tackles were jittery facing him
